EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.9008; (P) 0.9031; (R1) 0.9048; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral for the moment and outlook is unchanged. Overall, choppy rise from 0.8670 is in favor to continue as long as 0.8861 support holds. On the upside, decisive break of 0.9291 will target 0.9499 high. However, break of 0.8861 will bring deeper fall back to 0.8670 support.

In the bigger picture, at this point, we’re seeing the price actions from 0.9499 as developing into a corrective pattern. That is, up trend from 0.6935 (2015 low) would resume at a later stage. This will remain the favored case as long as 0.8276 support holds. Decisive break of 0.9499 will target 0.9799 (2008 high).

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8437; (P) 0.8454; (R1) 0.8479; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral at this point. Outlook stays bearish with 0.8585 resistance intact. Fall from 0.8720 is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 0.8338 will turn bias to back to the downside for retesting 0.8201 low.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests rejection by 38.2% retracement of 0.9499 to 0.8201 at 0.8697. Medium term bearishness is maintained. Break of 0.8201 will resume larger down trend from 0.9499 (2020 high). Nevertheless, sustained break of 0.8697 will affirm the case that rise from 0.8201 is a medium term up trend itself.

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8559; (P) 0.8572; (R1) 0.8579; More…

Intraday bias in EUR/GBP remains neutral for the moment. With 0.8529 support intact, further rally is in favor. Rebound from 0.8497 is seen as at least correcting the fall from 0.8764. Above 0.8601 will target 161.8% projection of 0.8497 to 0.8577 from 0.8503 at 0.8632.

In the bigger picture, there is no clear sign that down trend from 0.9267 has completed, despite loss of downside momentum as seen in D MACD. As long as 0.8713 resistance holds, the down trend will remain in favor to resume through 0.8491 low at la later stage.

EUR/GBP Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.8456; (P) 0.8495; (R1) 0.8519; More

EUR/GBP’s recovery from 0.8303 has likely finished at 0.8851 already. Break of 0.8449 support will confirm this case and target 0.8303. Break will extend the whole corrective fall from 0.9304 and target 0.8116 support. In case of another rise, we’d now expect strong resistance at 61.8% retracement of 0.9304 to 0.8303 at 0.8922 to limit upside and bring near term reversal.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9304 are viewed as a medium term corrective pattern. Deeper fall cannot be ruled out yet. But we’d expect strong support from 0.8116 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9304 at 0.8120) to contain downside. Overall, the corrective pattern would take some time to complete before long term up trend resumes at a later stage. Break of 0.9304 will pave the way to 0.9799 (2008 high).

EUR/GBP Weekly Outlook

EUR/GBP edged higher to 0.8786 last week but pulled back since then. Downside is contained above 38.2% retracement of 0.8402 to 0.8786 at 0.8639 so far and outlook is unchanged. We’re treating rise from 0.8402 as the third leg of the whole pattern from 0.8303. Another rally is still expected in near term.

EUR/GBP 4 Hours Chart

Initial bias remains neutral this week for consolidations below 0.8786. Downside should be contained by 0.8693 and bring another rally. Above 0.8786 will target 0.8851 resistance and above. Though, price actions from 0.8303 are seen as the second leg of the corrective pattern from 0.9304. Hence, we’d expect strong resistance from 100% projection of 0.8303 to 0.8851 from 0.8402 at 0.8950 to limit upside. On the downside, sustained trading below 0.8693 will bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement 0.8549 and below.

EUR/GBP Daily Chart

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.9304 are viewed as a medium term corrective pattern. Deeper fall cannot be ruled out yet. But we’d expect strong support from 0.8116 cluster support (50% retracement of 0.6935 to 0.9304 at 0.8120) to contain downside. Overall, the corrective pattern would take some time to complete before long term up trend resumes at a later stage. Break of 0.9304 will pave the way to 0.9799 (2008 high).

EUR/GBP Weekly Chart

In the long term picture, firstly, price action from 0.9799 is seen as a long term corrective pattern and should have completed at 0.6935. Secondly, rise from 0.6935 is likely resuming up trend from 0.5680 (2000 low). Thirdly, this is supported by the impulsive structure of the rise from 0.6935 to 0.9304. Hence, after the consolidation from 0.9304 completes, we’d expect another medium term up trend to target 0.9799 high and above.

Firm break there could bring further rally towards 0.9304 high. Nonetheless, price actions from 0.9304 are seen as a corrective pattern and there is no clear sign of up trend resumption yet.
