Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.2004 is (2018 high) is still in progress. While initial support might be seen from 1.0629 on first attempt, outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.1059 resistance holds. Decisive break of 1.0629 will pave the way to parity next. EUR/CHF retreated deeply after hitting 1.1748 and intraday bias is turned neutral again. Another rise is expected with 1.1672 support intact. Above 1.1748 will target a test on 1.1832 high. At this point, we’ll stay cautious strong resistance from there to bring another fall. Corrective pattern from 1.1832 might still have an attempt on 1.1355 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.0629 to 1.1832 at 1.1372) before completion. On the downside, below 1.1672 minor support will target 1.1445 low again. However, decisive break of 1.1832 will confirm up trend resumption for 1.2 handle next.

In the bigger picture, a medium term top should be in place at 1.1832 on bearish divergence condition in daily MACD. But there is no indication of long term reversal yet. As long as 1.1198 resistance turned support holds, we’d still expect another rise through prior SNB imposed floor at 1.2000.

EUR/CHF Weekly Outlook

EUR/CHF’s decisive break of 0.9513 support last week confirms resumption of whole down trend from 1.0095. Initial bias remains on the downside this week for retesting 0.9407 medium term bottom. On the upside, break of 0.9557 resistance is needed to be the first sign of short term bottoming. Otherwise, risk will stay on the downside in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains bearish with the cross capped well below falling 55 W EMA (now at 0.9782). Firm break of 0.9407 (2022 low) will confirm resumption of larger down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high). Next target will be 61.8% projection of 1.1149 to 0.9407 from 1.0095 at 0.9018. On the upside, break of 0.9691 resistance is needed to indicate medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish.

In the long term picture, outlook remains bearish as it’s staying well below 55 M EMA (now at 1.0362). Break of 1.0095 resistance is needed to be the first sign of bottoming, or the multi-decade down trend is expected to continue.

With 1.1317 minor resistance intact, intraday bias in EUR/CHF remains on the upside for 1.1452 resistance. Decisive break there should confirm near term reversal. That is, whole correction from 1.2004 has completed at 1.1178 after hitting 1.1154/98 key support zone. In that case, further rise should be seen to 1.1713 resistance next. On the downside, below 1.1317 minor support will dampen this bullish view and turn intraday bias neutral again first.

In the bigger picture, for now, the price actions from 1.2004 medium term top is seen as a correction only. Downside should be contained by support zone of 1.1198 (2016 high) and 61.8% retracement of 1.0629 to 1.2004 at 1.1154 to complete it and bring rebound. This cluster level is in proximity to long term channel support (now at 1.1207) too. A break of 1.2 key resistance is still expected in the medium term long term. However, sustained break of the mentioned support zone will mark reversal of the long term trend. In that case, 1.0629 key support will be back into focus.

That is, down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high) could still resume through 0.9407 (2022 low). However, sustained trading above the 55 W EMA will raise the chance that 0.9470 is already a long term bottom. Further rise would then be seen to 1.0095 resistance to indicate bullish trend reversal.

At this point, we’d still expect strong support from there to bring rebound. On the upside, above 1.1310 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.1452 resistance. However, sustained break of 1.1154/98 will carry larger bearish implications.

This cluster level is in proximity to long term channel support (now at 1.1173) too. A break of 1.2 key resistance is still expected in the medium term long term. However, sustained break of the mentioned support zone will mark reversal of the long term trend. In that case, 1.0629 key support will be back into focus.

A temporary top was formed at 0.9678 in EUR/CHF, ahead of 0.9691 resistance. Intraday bias is turned neutral first. Another rise is expected as long as 0.9595 support holds. Firm break of 0.9691 will argue that whole decline from 1.0095 has completed, just ahead of 0.9407 support (2022 low). Nevertheless, break of 0.9595 support will indicate short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for deeper pull back.

No change in EUR/CHF’s outlook as consolidation from 0.9953 is in progress. Intraday bias stays neutral. On the upside, firm break of 0.9953 resistance will resume larger rally from 0.9407 to 1.0072 fibonacci level. However, break of 0.9720 will extend the decline from 0.9953 to 61.8% retracement of 0.8407 to 0.9953 at 0.9616.

In the bigger picture, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.1149 to 0.9407 at 1.0072 holds, price actions from 0.9407 medium term bottom will be treated as a corrective pattern. That would be an initial sign of long term bullish reversal.

Intraday bias in EUR/CHF remains neutral at this point. Consolidation should be relatively brief as long as 1.1888 minor support holds and another rally is expected. Decisive break of 1.2 will pave the way to 61.8% projection of 1.0629 to 1.1832 from 1.1445 at 1.2188. However, considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, break of 1.1888 will indicate short term topping. In that case, deeper pull back would be seen back to 1.1445/1832 support zone.

In the bigger picture, long term up trend in EUR/CHF is still in progress. Prior SNB imposed floor at 1.2003 was already met but there is no sign of reversal yet. As long as 1.1445 support holds, we’d expect the up trend to extend to 2013 high at 1.2649 next.

In the bigger picture, long term down trend from 1.2004 (2018 high) is still in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.2004 to 1.0505 to 1.1149 at 0.9650. Risk will stay on the downside as 0.9835 resistance holds. Below 0.9278 will turn bias back to the downside for 0.9563 support.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.9563 support holds, rise from 0.9252 medium term bottom is still in favor to continue. Break of 0.9847 resistance will target 38.2% retracement of 1.2004 (2018 high) to 0.9252 (2023 low) at 1.0303, even as a correction to the down trend from 1.2004.

In the bigger picture, the rejection by 55 week EMA (now at 1.0039) mixed up the outlook. On the upside, sustained trading above 55 week EMA will raise the chance of bullish trend reversal. In the bigger picture, considering bullish condition in daily MACD, firm break of 0.9864 resistance will confirm medium term bottoming at 0.9407. On the upside, decisive break of 1.1348 will confirm this bullish case and turn bias to the upside for retesting 1.1501 next.
