EUR/AUD failed to break through 1.6586 resistance as consolidation from 1.6033 extends. Intraday bias remains neutral first. As long as 1.6586 resistance holds, further decline and break of 1.6033 remains in favor. However, on the upside, sustained break of 1.6585 will confirm short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall could be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. This will remain the preferred case now as long as 1.7194 resistance holds.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays neutral for the moment. Consolidation from 1.5250 could extend further. Break of 1.5672 will bring stronger rebound. But upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.6827 to 1.5250 at 1.5852. On the downside, below 1.5423 should bring retest of 1.5250 low. Overall, down trend from 1.9799 is expected to resume after consolidation from 1.5250 completes.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a deep correction, to long term up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. Medium term outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.6033 support turned resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains mildly on the downside for the moment. Deeper Deeper fall would be seen to 1.6449 support next. Firm break there will argue that the pattern from 1.6319 has completed at 1.6844 as a corrective move, and fall from 1.7062 is ready to resume through 1.6319. On the upside, above 1.6694 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, while 1.7062 is a medium term top, there is no clear sign of trend reversal as EUR/AUD continues to draw strong support from the medium term trend line. Break of 1.7062 will resume the larger up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low) to 1.7691 fibonacci level. Nevertheless, break of 1.6449 support will argue that deeper correction is underway to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains on the upside with focus on 1.6122 key resistance. Decisive break will confirm the bullish view that correction from 1.6765 has completed with three waves down to 1.5683. In this case, further rise should be seen back to retest 1.6765 high. On the downside, break of 1.5905 support is needed to indicate completion of the rise from 1.5683. Otherwise, near term outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5346 support holds, outlook will still remain bullish. Uptrend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 1.6765 will target 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488 next. However, firm break of 1.5346 key support will indicate trend reversal, with bearish divergence condition in weekly MACD, and turn outlook bearish.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6397; (P) 1.6462; (R1) 1.6545; More

EUR/AUD is staying in range below 1.6552 and intraday bias remains neutral. With 1.6247 support intact, further rally is expected. As noted before, correction from 1.6785 should have completed with three waves down to 1.5846. Above 1.6552 will target a retest on 1.6785 high next. Nevertheless, on the downside, firm break of 1.6247 will dampen this view and turn bias to the downside for 1.5846 support.

In the bigger picture, with 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.6785 at 1.5828 intact, rally from 1.4281 is still in progress. Firm break of 1.6785 will confirm rise resumption. Next target is 100% projection of 1.5254 to 1.6785 from 1.5846 at 1.7377. On the other hand, rejection by 1.6785 will extend the corrective pattern with another fall leg. But outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.5828 holds.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s rebound from 1.5354 resumed last week and accelerated to as high as 1.5906. The development suggests that whole decline from 1.6434 has completed at 1.5354 already. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for 161.8% projection of 1.5354 to 1.5743 from 1.5446 at 1.6075 next. On the downside, break of 1.5743 resistance turned support will mix up the near term outlook and turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, the strong rebound from 1.5354 invalidates the case of imminent downside breakout, and turn medium term outlook neutral again. Such rise is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.5250. Further rally could be seen through 1.6434 resistance. On the downside, however, break of 1.5446 support will turn focus back to 1.5250 low.

In the longer term picture, fall from 1.9799 (2020 high) is seen as a long term down trend. Further decline will remain in favor as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.5250 at 1.6988 holds. Break of 1.5250 will target 61.8 retracement of 1.1602 (2012 low) to 1.9799 at 1.4733

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.3732; (P) 1.3774; (R1) 1.3836; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for the moment. At this point, we’d still expect strong support from 1.3671 to contain downside to complete the correction from 1.6587. This is supported by bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. Break of 1.3900 resistance will confirm short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for 1.4289 resistance. However, sustained break of 1.3671 will invalidate our view.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.6587 medium term top are viewed as a corrective pattern. We’d expect strong support from 1.3671 key level to contain downside and bring rebound. Up trend from 1.1602 should not be finished and will resume later. Break of 1.4721 resistance will indicate completion of such correction and turn outlook bullish for retesting 1.6587 high. However, sustained break of 1.3671 will invalidate our bullish view and would turn focus back to 1.1602 long term bottom.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s medium term decline from 1.6587 extended last week and reached as low as 1.3838. Intraday bias remains on the downside this week and deeper fall should be seen to 1.3671 key support level. At this point, we’d still expect strong support around 1.3671 to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 1.4038 resistance will indicate short term bottoming and turn focus back to 1.4289 resistance.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.6587 medium term top are viewed as a corrective pattern. Deeper fall could be seen but, we’d expect strong support above 1.3671 to contain downside and bring rebound. Up trend from 1.1602 should not be finished and will resume later. Break of 1.4721 resistance will indicate completion of such correction and outlook bullish for retesting 1.6587 high. However, sustained break of 1.3671 will invalidate our bullish view and would turn focus back to 1.1602 long term bottom.

In the longer term picture, the rise from 1.1602 long term bottom isn’t over yet. We’ll keep monitoring the development but there is prospect of extending the rise to 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 to 1.1602 at 1.7488 and above. However, break of 1.3671 should confirm trend reversal and target 1.1602 long term bottom again.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 medium term top is seen as correction to the up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Strong support should be seen around 1.5846 and 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000 bring rebound. Break of 1.6844 will argue that this up trend is ready to resume through 1.7062 high.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD is back on the upside with firm break of 1.6601 resistance. Further rally should be seen to 1.6785 high. Decisive break there will resume larger up trend to 1.7377 projection level next. On the downside, break of 1.6577 minor support will delay the bullish case and turn intraday bias neutral first.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral at this point. Further rise is still expected as long as 1.5962 support holds. On the upside, break of 1.6314 will re-affirm medium term bullishness and target 1.6432 next.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5894 support holds, outlook remains bullish. Firm break of 1.6786 will resume up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Next upside target is 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488. However, sustained break of 1.5894 will have 55 week EMA (now at 1.6082) firmly taken out too. That should indicate medium term topping and target 1.5346 key support next.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4888; (P) 1.4915; (R1) 1.4967; More….

No change in EUR/AUD’s outlook. With 1.5042 minor resistance intact, deeper decline is expected to 1.4732 support. Decisive break there confirm that fall from 1.5173 is the third leg of consolidation pattern from 1.5226. In that case, further fall should be seen to 1.4421 again. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, above 1.5042 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.5173/5226 resistance zone instead.

In the bigger picture, we’re holding on to the view that corrective decline from 1.6587 medium term has completed at 1.3624. Rise from 1.3624 is expected to extend to retest 1.6587. The corrective structure of the price actions from 1.5226 is affirming this view. Above 1.5226 will target a test on 1.6587 key resistance. However, break of 1.4421 support will dampen our view and would drag EUR/AUD lower to retest key support zone around 1.3624.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5907; (P) 1.6015; (R1) 1.6074; More….

EUR/AUD recovered quickly after breaching 1.5984 support. Intraday bias stays neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.6152 will suggest the choppy decline from 1.6357 has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.6357 first. However, on the downside, decisive break of 1.5984 will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn outlook bearish.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 1.3624 (2017 low) is still in progress. Further rise should be seen to retest 1.6587 (2015 high). Decisive break there will resume the long term rally and target 1.7488 fibonacci level. On the downside, break of 1.5984 support is need to be the first sign of medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of deep pull back. However, sustained break of 1.5984 will be an early sign of trend reversal and turn focus to 1.5601 support for confirmation.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6153; (P) 1.6184; (R1) 1.6210; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD is back on the downside with breach of 1.6148 temporary low. Current fall from 1.6844 should target 100% projection of 1.7062 to 1.6319 from 1.6844 at 1.6106. Meanwhile, considering bullish convergence condition in 4H MACD, firm break of 1.6265 resistance should indicate short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside for 1.6478 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 medium term top is seen as correcting the whole up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000. Strong support could be seen there to bring rebound on first attempt. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.6844 resistance holds. Sustained break of 1.6000 would bring further fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.5343.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s fall from 1.6742 extended to 1.6368 last week before turning sideway. Initial bias stays neutral this week first, but risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.6516 resistance holds. On the downside, below 1.6368 will resume the fall from 1.6742 towards 1.6127 low. Nevertheless, break of 1.6516 will turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 medium term top is seen as a correction to the up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). The correction is probably still in progress with fall from 1.6742 as the third leg. Strong support is expected around 1.5846 and 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000 to bring rebound.

In the longer term picture, price actions from 1.9799 (2020 high) are seen as a long term decline at the same scale as the rise from 1.1602 (2012 low). Rebound from 1.4281 is seen as the second leg. As long as 55 M EMA (now at 1.5950) holds, this second leg could still extend higher. However, sustained trading below 55 M EMA will open up the bearish case for extending the decline through 1.4281 low.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5648; (P) 1.5697; (R1) 1.5788; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral. Also, with 1.5606 intact, near term outlook remains bullish. Break of 1.5816 should now confirm resumption of medium term rise from 1.3264. In that case, EUR/AUD should target 1.6587 key long term resistance. Meanwhile, firm break of 1.5606 will argue that a short term top is formed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 1.5494)

In the bigger picture, medium term rise from 1.3624 is not completed yet. Sustained break of 1.5770 will extend the rise to retest 1.6587 (2015 high). However, considering bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, break of 1.4949 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.5770 at 1.4950) will indicate medium term reversal. And there is prospect of retesting 1.3624 low in that bearish case.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD breached 1.5721 key support again last week but recovered quickly. There is no confirmation of decline resumption yet. Initial bias stays neutral this week for more consolidation. In case of another rise, upside should be limited by 1.6122 near term resistance. On the downside, decisive break of 1.5721 will resume the decline from 1.6765 to 1.5346 key support next.

In the longer term picture, the rise from 1.1602 long term bottom (2012 low) is still in progress for 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 to 1.1602 at 1.7488. Firm break there will pave the way to 100% projection of 1.1602 to 1.6587 from 1.3624 at 1.8069. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.5346 remains intact.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5617; (P) 1.5656; (R1) 1.5684; More

EUR/AUD formed a temporary low at 1.5610 and turned sideway. Intraday bias is turned neutral first, but further decline is expected with 1.5898 resistance intact. As noted before, rebound from 1.5354 should have completed with three waves up to 1.6168. Break of 1.5610 will target 1.5250/5354 support zone.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral for the moment. Rise from 1.5354 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.5250 low. Further rise cannot be ruled out, but even in that case, strong resistance should be seen at 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.5250 at 1.6988. Larger down trend from 1.9799 is in favor to extend through 1.5250 at a later stage.

On the upside, though, break of 1.7350 minor resistance will suggest short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is in progress and further rally would be seen to 2.1127 (2008 high) and possibly to 161.8% projection of 1.1602 to 1.6597 from 1.3524 at 2.1706. On the downside, for now, touching of 1.6597 resistance turned support (2015 high) is needed to indicate medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish even in case of deep pull back.
