EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD remained bounded in the consolidation form 1.6033 last week and overall outlook is unchanged. Initial bias stays neutral this week for some more sideway trading. On the downside, decisive break of 1.6033 will resume the down trend from 1.9799. Nevertheless, on the upside, break of 1.6585 resistance should turn bias to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall could be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.5792). Sustained break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. This will remain the preferred case now as long as 1.6586 resistance holds.

In the longer term picture rise from 1.1602 (2012 low) could have already completed with three waves up to 1.9799. The development suggests that long term range trading is extending with another medium term down leg. Sustained trading below 55 month EMA (now at 1.5792) will further affirm this case and target 1.1602/3624 support zone.

EUR/AUD is staying in consolidation from 1.6033 and intraday bias remains neutral. As long as 1.6772 resistance holds, further decline is expected. On the downside, firm break of 1.6033 will resume the decline from 1.9799 for next support level at 1.5346. On the upside, however, break of 1.6772 resistance will confirm short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall could be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. This will remain the preferred case now as long as 1.7194 resistance holds.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6291; (P) 1.6402; (R1) 1.6474; More

No change in EUR/AUD’s outlook as it’s staying in consolidation from 1.6033. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. On the upside, sustained break of 1.6586 resistance will suggest that it’s at least in correction to the fall from 1.9799 to 1.6033. Further rise should then be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.6033 at 1.7472. However, rejection by 1.6586 will maintain near term bearishness for another fall through 1.6033 later.

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall might be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.5803). Sustained break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. However, strong support from 55 week EMA (now at 1.6458) would neutralize the long term bearishness and argues that price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a sideway range pattern instead.

EUR/AUD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6266; (P) 1.6315; (R1) 1.6352; More

EUR/AUD’s break of 1.6363 temporary top suggests resumption of recent rally from 1.5683. Intraday bias is back on the upside for 61.8% projection of 1.5683 to 1.6262 from 1.6052 at 1.6410 first. Break will target 100% projection at 1.6631 next. On the downside, break of 1.6298 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations again. But downside should be contained well above 1.6052 support to bring rise resumption.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5346 support holds, outlook will still remain bullish. Up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 1.6765 will target 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488 next. However, firm break of 1.5346 key support will indicate trend reversal, with bearish divergence condition in weekly MACD, and turn outlook bearish.

EUR/AUD surges to as high as 1.6252 so far and intraday bias remains on the upside. Corrective fall from 1.6765 has completed at 1.5683 already. Further rise should now be seen to retest 1.6765 high. On the downside, below 1.6127 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidation first, before staging another rally.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6427; (P) 1.6547; (R1) 1.6625; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays on the downside as fall from 1.9799 is in progress. Sustained trading below 1.6597 key support will carry larger bearish implication. Further fall would be seen to 1.6085 support next. On the upside, break of 1.6763 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, near term outlook will remain cautiously bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.6597 key cluster support, (2015 high and 38.2% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.6668, 55 week EMA (now at 1.6548). Strong rebound from current level will retain medium term bullishness. Larger up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) would extend through 1.9799 high. However, sustained break of 1.6597 will suggest bearish reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 1.4733.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD edged higher to 1.5747 last week but failed to sustain above 1.5704 resistance and retreated. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. But further rally is expected as long as 1.5271 support holds. On the upside, firm break of 1.5747 will resume larger rally from 1.4281. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.4281 to 1.5704 from 1.5271 at 1.6150.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5271 support holds, rise from 1.4281 medium term bottom is expected to continue to 1.6434 key resistance next. However, firm break of 1.5271 will argue that such rebound has completed, and keep medium term outlook neutral at best. But in this case, more range trading should be seen above 1.4281 low first.

In the longer term picture, focus is on 55 month EMA (now at 1.5591). Sustained trading above there will raise the chance of bullish trend reversal, and at least bring further rally to 1.6434 cluster resistance, 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 (2020 high) to 1.4281 at 1.6389. However, rejection by the EMA will revive the chance of down trend resumption through 1.4281 at a later stage.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5630; (P) 1.5706; (R1) 1.5773; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral at this point. On the downside, decisive break of 1.5626 near term support will firstly resume the fall from 1.5976. Secondly, that will also raise the odds of larger reversal. Deeper fall should then be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.5153 to 1.5976 at 1.5467 and below. However, on the upside, break of 1.5787 minor resistance will indicate completion of the pull back from 1.5976. And, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.5976 high instead.

In the bigger picture, change of medium term reversal is increasing with EUR/AUD just missing double projection target. They are 61.8% projection of 1.4421 to 1.5770 from 1.5153 at 1.5987, and 100% projection of 1.3624 to 1.5226 from 1.4421at 1.6023. Also, bearish divergence condition remains in daily MACD. Break of 1.5626 support will add to this bearish case and target 1.5153 key support for confirmation. Nonetheless, before that happens, as long as 1.5153 support holds, medium term rise from 1.3624 could still extend to retest 1.6587 high.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

EUR/AUD rises further today but it’s still staying below 1.5173 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, break of 1.5173/5226 resistance zone will finally resume larger rise from 1.3624. In that case, EUR/AUD will target 1.5644 resistance first. On the downside, break of 1.4791 support will turn bias to the downside and extend the fall from 1.5173 to retest 1.4421 support.

In the bigger picture, we’re holding on to the view that corrective decline from 1.6587 medium term top has completed at 1.3624. Rise from 1.3624 is expected to extend to retest 1.6587. The corrective structure of the price actions from 1.5226 is affirming this view. Above 1.5226 will target a test on 1.6587 key resistance. However, break of 1.4421 support will dampen our view and would drag EUR/AUD lower to retest key support zone around 1.3624.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neural as sideway consolidation continues. Further decline is in favor with 1.6772 resistance intact.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for range trading below 1.5886. Further rise is expected as long as 1.569 minor support holds. On the upside break of 1.5886 will resume the rebound from 1.5271 and target a test on 1.6189 high. Nonetheless, the momentum and structure of such rise from 1.5271 are not too convincing. Break of 1.5696 will suggest near term reversal and turn bias to the downside for 1.5425 support for confirmation.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that fall from 1.6189 is a corrective move and has completed at 1.5217 already. Key support levels of 1.5153 and 38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.6189 at 1.5209 were defended. And medium term rise from 1.3624 (2017 low) is still in progress. Break of 1.6189 will target 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high).

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral first as consolidation from 1.6033 might extend. On the downside, firm break of 1.6033 will confirm resumption of whole fall from 1.9799. Deeper fall would then be seen to long term EMA at 1.5774. On the upside, break of 1.6586 resistance is needed to indicate reversal, otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of another recovery..

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall could be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.5774). Sustained break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. This will remain the preferred case now as long as 1.6586 resistance holds.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5998; (P) 1.6029; (R1) 1.6083; More….

Break of 1.6059 resistance suggests that pull back from 1.6189 has completed at 1.5773 already. More importantly, larger rise from 1.3624 is likely still in progress. Intraday bias is now on the upside for 1.6189 first. Firm break there will target 1.6587 key resistance. On the downside, below 1.5963 minor support will turn focus back to 1.5773 instead.

In the bigger picture, while there is bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, there is no clear sign of reversal yet. EUR/AUD also drew strong support from 55 day EMA and rebounded. Current rally from 1.3624 could still extend to 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high). Nonetheless, we’d expect further loss of upside momentum, and strong resistance from 1.6587 to limit upside and bring reversal.

EUR/AUD rebounds to as high as 1.5792. But we’re holding on to the view that price actions from 1.5250 are merely a consolidation pattern. hence, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.6827 to 1.5250 at 1.5852. On the downside, break of 1.5603 will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.5250 low. Overall, down trend from 1.9799 is expected to resume after consolidation from 1.5250 completes.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a deep correction, to long term up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. Medium term outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.6033 support turned resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

Break of 1.5672 will target 38.2% retracement of 1.6827 to 1.5250 at 1.5852. nevertheless, break of 1.5526 will turn bias back to the downside for 1.5355 support and below.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a deep correction, to long term up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral as consolidation from 1.5392 continues. As long as 1.4949 support holds, outlook remains bullish. Medium term rally from 1.3624 is in favor to continue. On the upside, break of 1.5392 will resume medium term rise from 1.3624 and target 61.8% projection of 1.3624 to 1.5226 from 1.4949 at 1.5939 first. However, decisive break of 1.4949 will carry larger bearish implication and turn bias to the downside.

In the bigger picture, we’re holding on to the view that corrective decline from 1.6587 medium term top has completed at 1.3624. Rise from 1.3624 is expected to extend to retest 1.6587. However, break of 1.4949 support will dampen our view and argue that rise from 1.3624 has completed. In that case, EUR/AUD would turn southward for retesting 1.3624 low.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s rebound from 1.5905 extended to 1.6368 last week but formed a temporary top there and retreated. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Further rise is expected as long as 1.6074 support holds. Corrective fall from 1.6786 should have completed at 1.5905. Break of 1.6368 will target 1.6680/6786 resistance zone next. On the downside, however, break of 1.6074 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.5894 key support instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5894 support holds, outlook remains bullish. Firm break of 1.6786 will resume up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Next upside target is 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488. However, sustained break of 1.5894 will have 55 week EMA (now at 1.6031) firmly taken out too. That should indicate medium term topping and target 1.5346 key support next.

In the longer term picture, the rise from 1.1602 long term bottom (2012 low) is still in progress for 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 to 1.1602 at 1.7488. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.5894 remains intact. However, firm break of 1.5894 will be an early sign of major topping and turn focus to 1.5346 key support for confirmation.

The corrective structure of the price actions from 1.5226 is affirming this view. Above 1.5226 will target a test on 1.6587 key resistance. Intraday bias in EUR/AUD is turned neutral again as it retreated after hitting 1.5826. Outlook is unchanged that corrective fall from 1.5976 has completed at 1.5254. Further rally is expected as long as 1.5650 resistance turned support holds. Break of 1.5826 will target a test on 1.5976 high.

In the bigger picture, it’s still early to confirm if rise from 1.4281 represents bullish trend reversal. But as long as 1.5271 support holds, such rally is in favor to continue. Break of 1.5976 will target 1.6434 key resistance next. On the other hand, firm break of 1.5271 will retain medium term bearishness instead.
