EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s decline resumed last week but recovered after dipping to 1.6206. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. Outlook stays bearish as long as 1.6478 resistance holds. Firm break of 1.6206 will resume whole fall from 1.7062. Next target is 100% projection of 1.7062 to 1.6319 from 1.6844 at 1.6106.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 medium term top is seen as correcting the whole up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000. Strong support could be seen there to bring rebound on first attempt. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.6844 resistance holds. Sustained break of 1.6000 would bring further fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.5343.

In the longer term picture, fall from 1.9799 (2020 high) is seen as a long term decline at the same scale as the rise from 1.1602 (2012 low). Rebound from 1.4281 is seen as the second leg. As long as 55 M EMA (now at 1.5846) holds, this second leg could still extend higher. However, sustained trading below 55 M EMA will open up the bearish case for extending the decline through 1.4281 low.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5628; (P) 1.5694; (R1) 1.5739; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral first with focus on 1.5643 minor support. Break there will indicate completion of the corrective rise from 1.5519. Intraday bias will turn back to the downside for retesting 1.5519 low first. On the upside, above 1.5781 would extend the corrective rise to 38.2% retracement of 1.6357 to 1.5519 at 1.5839 and possibly above. But upside should be limited well below 1.5984 support turned resistance to bring fall resumption.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that up trend from 1.3624 (2017 low) is possibly completed at 1.6357, ahead of 1.6587 (2015 high). This is supported by bearish divergence condition in weekly MACD. Deeper decline is now in favor to 1.5271 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.6357 at 1.5313). Break will target 61.8% retracement at 1.4668. On the upside, break of 1.5984 support turned resistance is now needed to revive the prior medium term up trend. Otherwise, further decline will be in favor even in case of strong interim rebound.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5790; (P) 1.5830; (R1) 1.5880; More

Outlook in EUR/AUD remains unchanged. With 1.5712 minor support intact, further is still mildly in favor to 1.6168 resistance. However, on the downside, break of 1.5712 support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.5559 support instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 1.5354 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.5250 low. Further rise cannot be ruled out, but even in that case, strong resistance should be seen at 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.5250 at 1.6988. Larger down trend from 1.9799 is in favor to extend through 1.5250 at a later stage.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5469; (P) 1.5507; (R1) 1.5533; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral as consolidation from 1.5250 is still extending. Consolidation from 1.5250 could extend further. On the upside, in case of another rise, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.6827 to 1.5250 at 1.5852. Overall, down trend from 1.9799 is expected to resume after consolidation from 1.5250 completes.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a deep correction, to long term up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. Medium term outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.6033 support turned resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4746; (P) 1.4775; (R1) 1.4815; More

Outlook in EUR/AUD is unchanged. The pull back from 1.5226 might have completed after drawing support from 38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.5226 at 1.4614. Further rise would be seen to retest 1.5226 high next. However, sustained break of 1.4614 fibonacci level will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.4236 and possibly below.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.6587 medium term top are viewed as a corrective pattern. Such correction should be completed at 1.3624 after defending 1.3671 key support. Rise from 1.3642 would extend to 61.8% retracement of 1.6587 to 1.3624 at 1.5455. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.6587. However, sustained break of 1.4669 support will dampen this bullish view. We’ll assess the outlook later after looking at the structure and depth of the pull back.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5956; (P) 1.6037; (R1) 1.6097; More

EUR/AUD is losing some downside momentum as seen in 4 hour MACD. But intraday bias stays on the downside for retesting 1.5894/5905 key support. On the upside, though, break of 1.6181 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.6432 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5894 support holds, outlook remains bullish. Firm break of 1.6786 will resume up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Next upside target is 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488. However, sustained break of 1.5894 will have 55 week EMA (now at 1.6058) firmly taken out too. That should indicate medium term topping and target 1.5346 key support next.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4626; (P) 1.4716; (R1) 1.4769; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains on the downside for the moment. Fall from 1.5327 is still in progress to retest 1.4561 low. Firm break there will resume larger down trend from 1.9799. On the upside, however, break of 1.4986 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside, and extend the pattern from 1.4561 will another rising leg.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.9799 is seen as a long term impulsive move. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.9799 to 1.5250 from 1.6434 at 1.3623, which is close to 1.3624 long term support (2017 low). Some support could be seen there to bring interim rebound. But overall, break of 1.5354 support turned resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6499; (P) 1.6553; (R1) 1.6586; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for the moment. Further rally would remain in favor as long as 1.6740 support holds. On the upside, above 1.6745 will argue that the pullback has completed, and turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.7180. However, firm break of 1.6474 will dampen the bullish view and bring deeper pullback towards 1.5996 support.

In the bigger picture, corrective fall from 1.7062 medium term top should have completed at 1.5996. Larger up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low) is resuming. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.4281 to 1.7062 from 1.5996 at 1.7715. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.6474 support holds.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD edged lower to 1.4761 last week but turned sideway ahead of 1.4759 support. Initial bias remains neutral this week first, and further fall is in favor. On the downside, decisive break of 1.4759 support should confirm that corrective rise from 1.4318 has completed at 1.5396 after rejection by 1.5354 support turned resistance. Deeper fall should then be seen back to retest 1.4318 low. On the upside, however, break of 1.5043 will bring stronger rebound back towards 1.5396.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 1.5354 support turned resistance, as well as 55 week EMA (now at 1.5378), maintain medium term bearishness. That is, larger down trend from 1.9799 is not completed yet. Break of 1.4318 low will target 61.8% projection of 1.9799 to 1.5250 from 1.6434 at 1.3623, which is close to 1.3624 long term support (2017 low). This will remain the favored case now as long as 1.5396 resistance holds.

In the longer term picture, fall from 1.9799 (2020 high) is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 2.1127 (2008 high). Deeper fall should be seen to 1.3624 support. Decisive break there would pave the way back to 1.1602 (2012 low). This will remain the favored case as long as 55 month EMA (now at 1.5664) holds.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5717; (P) 1.5745; (R1) 1.5787; More

EUR/AUD is staying in range of 1.5657/5871 and intraday bias remains neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 1.5657 support will suggest rejection by 38.2% retracement of 1.6827 to 1.5250 at 1.5852. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.5418 support first. Break there should confirm completion of consolidation pattern from 1.5250. On the upside, break of 1.5871 will extend the near term rebound to 1.6033 key support turned resistance.

However, firm break of 1.6033 will argue that such decline has completed, and turn focus to 1.6827 structural resistance for confirmation.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5699; (P) 1.5779; (R1) 1.5823; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral at this point. On the downside, break of 1.5716 will revive the case that rebound from 1.5354 has completed, and bring retest of this support. On the upside, break of 1.6168will resume the rise from 1.5354 to 1.6434 resistance.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook is neutral for the moment. Rise from 1.5354 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.5250 low.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5725; (P) 1.5808; (R1) 1.5868; More….

EUR/AUD recovers strongly today but stays below 1.5886 resistance. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Outlook is unchanged that another rise is in favor with 1.5696 minor support intact. Above 1.5886 will target 1.6139/89 resistance zone. However, as the rebound from 1.5271 is not clearly impulsive yet and momentum isn’t too convincing. Break of 1.5695 minor support could be an early sign of near term topping. In such case, focus will be back on 1.5425 support..

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that fall from 1.6189 is a corrective move and has completed at 1.5217 already. Key support levels of 1.5153 and 38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.6189 at 1.5209 were defended. And medium term rise from 1.3624 (2017 low) is not completed yet. Break of 1.6189 will target 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high).

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5373; (P) 1.5424; (R1) 1.5467; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral as consolidation from 1.5704 is extending. In case of deeper retreat, downside should be contained by 55 day EMA (now at 1.5244) to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 1.5704 will resume larger rise from 1.4281. However, sustained trading below 55 day EMA will bring deeper correction towards 1.4965 resistance turned support.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.4281, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Further rise would be seen back to 1.6434 key resistance next. Break of 1.4965 resistance turned support is needed to indicate reversal. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4079; (P) 1.4128; (R1) 1.4160; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for the moment. As it is still holding above 1.3872 support, we’re mildly favoring the case of trend reversal after defending key support level at 1.3671. On the upside, break of 1.4309 will extend the rebound from 1.3624 to 1.4721 key resistance level next. Decisive break of 1.4721 should confirm larger trend reversal. However, firm break of 1.3872 support will dampen our bullish view. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 1.3624 low instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.6587 medium term top are viewed as a corrective pattern. Such correction could be completed after testing 1.3671 key support. Break of 1.4721 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.6587 to 1.3624 at 1.4756) should confirm this case and target 61.8% retracement at 1.5455 and above. Overall, we’d expect the up trend from 1.1602 to resume later. However, sustained break of 1.3671 will invalidate our bullish view and would turn extend the fall from 1.6587 towards 1.1602 long term bottom.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6264; (P) 1.6293; (R1) 1.6339; More

Range trading continues in EUR/AUD and intraday bias remains neutral at this point. On the upside, decisive break of 1.6434 resistance will carry larger bullish implications. However, considering bearish divergence condition in 4H MACD, firm break of 1.6216 should confirm short term topping, after rejection by 1.6389/6434 cluster resistance zone. Intraday bias will be back on the downside in this case, to 1.6033 support and possibly below.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.6389/6434 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.4281 at 1.6389). Sustained break there should confirm that whole down trend from 1.9799 (2020 high) has completed. Further rally should then be seen to 61.8% retracement at 1.7691. However, rejection by this cluster resistance will make medium term outlook neutral at best.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5344; (P) 1.5465; (R1) 1.5537; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD is back on the downside with break of 4 hour 55 EMA. Deeper fall would be seen back to retest 1.5254/71. Firm break there will carry larger bearish implication and resume the fall from 1.5976. On the upside, above 1.5650 will resume the rebound to 1.5749 resistance.

In the bigger picture, it’s still early to confirm if rise from 1.4281 represents bullish trend reversal. But as long as 1.5271 support holds, such rally is in favor to continue. Break of 1.5976 will target 1.6434 key resistance next. On the other hand, firm break of 1.5271 will retain medium term bearishness instead.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6414; (P) 1.6456; (R1) 1.6510; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral and consolidation from 1.6033 could extend further. On the upside, sustained break of 1.6586 resistance will suggest that it’s at least in correction to the fall from 1.9799 to 1.6033. Further rise should then be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.6033 at 1.7472. However, rejection by 1.6586 will maintain near term bearishness for another fall through 1.6033 later.

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall might be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.5803). Sustained break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. However, strong support from 55 week EMA (now at 1.6458) would neutralize the long term bearishness and argues that price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a sideway range pattern instead.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6158; (P) 1.6185; (R1) 1.6215; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays neutral for consolidations first. On the downside, break of 1.6122 will target a rest on 1.6033 low. Decisive break there will resume larger down trend from 1.9799. On the upside, however, firm break of 1.6343 resistance will now suggest short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that price actions form 1.9799 might be developing into a sideway pattern only. That is, medium term outlook is just neutral, and up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) could resume at a later stage. On the downside, though, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.6433) would revive medium term bearishness for 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5829; (P) 1.5887; (R1) 1.5954; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral at this point. We’re holding on to the view that decline from 1.6765 has completed at 1.5721 already, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. On the upside, break of 1.6060 should confirm this bullish view and target a test on 1.6765 high. On the downside, however, break of 1.5721 will extend the decline to 1.5346 support instead..

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5346 support holds, outlook will remain bullish. Uptrend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 1.6765 will target 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488 next. However, firm break of 1.5346 key support will indicate trend reversal, with bearish divergence condition in weekly MACD, and turn outlook bearish.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6239; (P) 1.6287; (R1) 1.6325; More

Sideway consolidation continues in EUR/AUD above 1.6033 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Overall, as long as 1.6586 resistance holds, further decline is still expected. Break of 1.6033 will resume the down trend from 1.9799. Nevertheless, on the upside, break of 1.6585 resistance should turn bias to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, whole up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) might have completed at 1.9799. Deeper fall could be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 1.5792). Sustained break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. This will remain the preferred case now as long as 1.6586 resistance holds.
