EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s decline from 1.5945 continued last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias stays on the downside this week for 1.5591 low first. Firm break there will resume the down trend from 1.9799. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.6409 to 1.5591 from 1.5945 at 1.5439. On the upside, above 1.5706 minor resistance will delay the bearish case, and extend the consolidation from 1.5591 with another rise.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a deep correction, to long term up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. Medium term outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.6827 resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

In the longer term picture rise from 1.1602 (2012 low) could have already completed with three waves up to 1.9799. The development suggests that long term range trading is extending with another medium term down leg. Sustained trading below 55 month EMA (now at 1.5838) now further affirms this case could bring deeper decline to 1.1602/3624 support zone.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5719; (P) 1.5745; (R1) 1.5778; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral at this point. Risk stays on the downside with 1.5849 resistance intact. Consolidation pattern from 1.5250 might have completed just missing 38.2% retracement of 1.6827 to 1.5250 at 1.5852. Below 1.5665 will target 1.5418 support first. Sustained break there will solidify this bearish case and target a retest of 1.5250 low.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a deep correction, to long term up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. Medium term outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.6033 support turned resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

EUR/AUD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6340; (P) 1.6423; (R1) 1.6470; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD is turned neutral first with today’s strong recovery. On the upside, break of 1.6512 minor resistance will argue that pull back from 1.6671 has completed, and revive near term bullishness. Intraday bias will be back on the upside for 1.6671 resistance. On the downside, break of 1.6348 will resume the fall to 1.6127 support.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 medium term top is seen as correction to the up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Break of 1.6844 resistance will argue that this up trend is ready to resume through 1.7062 high. In case of another fall, strong support should be seen around 1.5846 and 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000 to bring rebound.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6535; (P) 1.6603; (R1) 1.6721; More

EUR/AUD’s rally continues today and reaches as high as 1.6739 so far. Intraday bias remains on the upside for 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.6033 at 1.7472. Reaction from there will reveal whether current rebound is just correcting the fall from 1.9799 to 1.6033, or reversing it. On the downside, below 1.6630 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. But near term outlook should stay bullish as long as 1.6337 support holds.

In the bigger picture, EUR/AUD is now back above 55 day EMA (now at 1.6463) with current rebound. The development argues that price actions form 1.9799 might be developing into a sideway pattern only. That is, medium term outlook is just neutral, and up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) could resume at a later stage. On the downside, though, sustained trading below 55 week EMA would revive medium term bearishness for 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4823; (P) 1.4872; (R1) 1.4933; More….

No change in EUR/AUD’s outlook. With 1.4994 minor resistance intact, deeper fall is expected to 1.4732 support. Decisive break there will confirm that fall from 1.5173 is the third leg of consolidation pattern from 1.5226. In that case, further fall should be seen to 1.4421 again. But we’d expect strong support from there to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, above 1.4994 minor resistance will turn bias back to the upside for 1.5173/5226 resistance zone instead.

In the bigger picture, we’re holding on to the view that corrective decline from 1.6587 medium term has completed at 1.3624. Rise from 1.3624 is expected to extend to retest 1.6587. The corrective structure of the price actions from 1.5226 is affirming this view. Above 1.5226 will target a test on 1.6587 key resistance. However, break of 1.4421 support will dampen our view and would drag EUR/AUD lower to retest key support zone around 1.3624.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6299; (P) 1.6364; (R1) 1.6484; More

EUR/AUD’s break of 1.6444 resistance suggests that up trend from 1.4281 is resuming. Intraday bias is now back on the upside for 100% projection of 1.4281 to 1.5976 from 1.5254 at 1.6949. For now, near term outlook will remain bullish as long as 1.6219 support holds, in case of retreat. Also, sustained trading above 1.6434/44 resistance will carry larger bullish implications.

In the bigger picture, focus stays on 1.6389/6434 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.4281 at 1.6389). Sustained break there should confirm that whole down trend from 1.9799 (2020 high) has completed. Further rally should then be seen to 61.8% retracement at 1.7691. However, rejection by this cluster resistance will make medium term outlook neutral at best.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5735; (P) 1.5787; (R1) 1.5820; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for the moment. At this point, we’re slightly favoring the case the rebound from 1.5354 has completed with three waves up to 1.6168. Below 1.5655 will affirm this case and target 1.5354 and then 1.5250 low. However, above 1.5905 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 1.6168 instead.

In the bigger picture, medium term outlook remains neutral for the moment. Rise from 1.5354 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.5250 low. Further rise cannot be ruled out, but even in that case, strong resistance should be seen at 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.5250 at 1.6988. Larger down trend from 1.9799 is in favor to extend through 1.5250 at a later stage.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for the moment, and some more consolidations could be seen above 1.6216. Further decline is expected as long as 1.6494 resistance holds. Fall from 1.6742 is seen as the third leg of the corrective pattern from 1.7062. Break of 1.6216 will turn bias back to the downside to 1.6127 support, or further to 100% projection of 1.7062 to 1.6127 from 1.6742 at 1.5807.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.7062 medium term top is seen as a correction to the up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). In case of deeper fall, strong support is expected around 1.5846 and 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000 to bring rebound. Break of 1.7062 is in favor as a later stage.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4975; (P) 1.5010; (R1) 1.5033; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays neutral first. Firm break of 1.4934 support will confirm short term topping, on bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, after hitting 1.5094 key resistance. In that case, deeper pull back would be seen to 55 day EMA (now at 1.4540). Meanwhile, sustained break of 1.5094 resistance will extend the rally from 1.3624 to next medium term fibonacci level at 1.5455.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.6587 medium term top are viewed as a corrective pattern. Such correction should be completed at 1.3624 after defending 1.3671 key support. Rise from 1.3642 is now expected to target 61.8% retracement of 1.6587 to 1.3624 at 1.5455 and above. In any case, outlook will now stay cautiously bullish as long as 1.4309 resistance turned support holds.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6108; (P) 1.6154; (R1) 1.6189; More

EUR/AUD is staying in consolidation from 1.6294 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rise remains in favor as long as 1.5962 support holds. On the upside, break of 1.6314 will re-affirm medium term bullishness and target 1.6432 next.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5894 support holds, outlook remains bullish. Firm break of 1.6786 will resume up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Next upside target is 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488. However, sustained break of 1.5894 will have 55 week EMA (now at 1.6079) firmly taken out too. That should indicate medium term topping and target 1.5346 key support next.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6454; (P) 1.6484; (R1) 1.6536; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral at this point. Further rally is expected as long as 1.6398 support holds. Corrective fall from 1.7062 should have completed with three waves down to 1.6127 already. Above 1.6671 will target 1.6844 resistance to confirm this bullish case. However, break of 1.6398 will dampen this view and bring retest of 1.6127 low instead.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6279; (P) 1.6316; (R1) 1.6342; More….

Range trading continues in EUR/AUD above 1.6211 short term bottom and intraday bias remains neutral. On the downside, firm break of 1.6211 support will resume the whole decline from 1.6742, as the third leg of the correction from 1.7062. On the upside, above 1.6403 will resume the rebound from 1.6211 instead.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5938; (P) 1.6014; (R1) 1.6109; More

EUR/AUD recovers further today but such recovery is seen as a corrective move. Stronger rise cannot be ruled out but upside should be limited below 1.6231 resistance to bring another fall. Decline from 1.6448 is seen as the third leg of the consolidation pattern from 1.6765 high. Break of 1.5894 will target 1.5683 support and below.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5346 support holds, outlook will still remain bullish. Up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 1.6765 will target 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488 next. However, firm break of 1.5346 key support will indicate trend reversal and turn outlook bearish.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4853; (P) 1.4890; (R1) 1.4925; More

A temporary top is in place at 1.4997 and intraday bias is turned neutral. Break of 1.4813 will argue that rebound from 1.4625 has completed and will turn bias back to the downside for this support. On the upside, above 1.4997 will target a test on 1.5226 high next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.6587 medium term top are viewed as a corrective pattern. Such correction should be completed at 1.3624 after defending 1.3671 key support. Rise from 1.3642 would extend to 61.8% retracement of 1.6587 to 1.3624 at 1.5455. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 1.6587. However, sustained break of 1.4669 support will dampen this bullish view. We’ll assess the outlook later after looking at the structure and depth of the pull back.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4237; (P) 1.4337; (R1) 1.4390; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays on the downside for the moment. Sustained trading below 1.4318 support will confirm resumption of larger down trend. Next target is medium term projection level at 1.3623. On the upside, break of 1.4712 resistance will delay the bearish case and turn bias to the upside for stronger rebound first.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 1.9799 is still in progress. Break of 1.4318 low will target 61.8% projection of 1.9799 to 1.5250 from 1.6434 at 1.3623, which is close to 1.3624 long term support (2017 low). This will remain the favored case now as long as 1.5396 resistance holds.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD stayed in consolidation above 1.5774 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. With 1.6154 resistance intact, deeper fall is expected. On the downside, break of 1.5774 will resume the decline from 1.6765 and target 1.5346 key support next. On the upside, break of 1.6154 will argue that the pull back has completed. Intraday bias will then be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.6765.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain above 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high) argues that up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is not ready to resume yet. But still, as long as 1.5346 support holds, outlook will remain bullish. Break of 1.6765 will target 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488 next. However, firm break of 1.5346 key support will indicate trend reversal, with bearish divergence condition in weekly MACD, and turn outlook bearish.

In the longer term picture, the rise from 1.1602 long term bottom (2012 low) is still in progress for 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 to 1.1602 at 1.7488. Firm break there will pave the way to 100% projection of 1.1602 to 1.6587 from 1.3624 at 1.8069. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.5346 remains intact.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.7781; (P) 1.7975; (R1) 1.8095; More

EUR/AUD is staying in correction from 1.9799 and deeper fall could be seen. But downside should be contained by 61.8% retracement of 1.6085 to 1.9799 at 1.7504 to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 1.8747 minor resistance will turn bias to the upside for retesting 1.9799 high first.

In the bigger picture, up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is in progress and further rally would be seen to 2.1127 (2008 high) and possibly to 161.8% projection of 1.1602 to 1.6597 from 1.3524 at 2.1706. On the downside, for now, touching of 1.6597 resistance turned support (2015 high), is needed to indicate medium term reversal. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish even in case of deep pull back.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6411; (P) 1.6491; (R1) 1.6551; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays neutral for the moment. With 1.6398 minor support intact, further rally is in favor. Corrective fall from 1.7062 should have completed with three waves down to 1.6127 already. Above 1.6671 will target 1.6844 resistance to confirm this bullish case. However, break of 1.6398 will dampen this view and bring retest of 1.6127 low instead.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6737; (P) 1.6780; (R1) 1.6821; More

Focus stays on 1.6843 resistance in EUR/AUD. Decisive break there will resume the rebound from 1.6319 for retesting 1.7062 high next. On the downside, however, below 1.6666 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 1.6449 support instead.

In the bigger picture, while 1.7062 is a medium term top, there is no clear sign of trend reversal as EUR/AUD continues to draw strong support from the medium term trend line. Break of 1.7062 will resume the larger up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low) to 1.7691 fibonacci level. Nevertheless, break of 1.6449 support will argue that deeper correction is underway to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4809; (P) 1.4856; (R1) 1.4906; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays mildly on the downside for 1.4759 support. Corrective rise from 1.4318 should have completed at 1.5396 after rejection by 1.5354 support turned resistance. Sustained break of 1.4759 will affirm this bearish case and bring retest of 1.4318 low. On the upside, above 1.5043 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 1.5354 support turned resistance, as well as 55 week EMA (now at 1.5398), maintain medium term bearishness. That is, larger down trend from 1.9799 is not completed yet. Break of 1.4318 low will target 61.8% projection of 1.9799 to 1.5250 from 1.6434 at 1.3623, which is close to 1.3624 long term support (2017 low). This will remain the favored case now as long as 1.5396 resistance holds.
