EUR/AUD Mid-Day Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5813; (P) 1.5852; (R1) 1.5879; More….

EUR/AUD’s sharp decline and break of 1.5774 indicates resumption of fall from 1.6139. Intraday bias is back on the downside towards 1.5621 support. For now, price actions from 1.6189 are viewed as a corrective pattern. So strong support would be seen above 1.5621 to bring rebound. But break of 1.5887 resistance is needed to indicate near term reversal first. Otherwise, deeper fall is expected even in case of recovery. Meanwhile, decisive break of 1.5621 will carry larger bearish implications.

In the bigger picture, while there is bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, there is no clear sign of reversal yet. Current rally from 1.3624 could extend to 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high). Nonetheless, we’d expect further loss of upside momentum, and strong resistance from 1.6587 to limit upside and bring reversal. On the downside, sustained break of 1.5621 support should confirm reversal and turn outlook bearish for 1.5153 support and below.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD edged lower to 1.6144 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Deeper fall is still in favor as long as 1.6374 resistance holds. Break of 1.6144 will target a test on 1.6033. Decisive break there will resume larger down trend from 1.9799. However, break of 1.6374 resistance will extend the consolidation from 1.6033 with another rising leg, and turn bias to the upside for 1.6827.

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that price actions form 1.9799 might be developing into a sideway pattern only. That is, medium term outlook is just neutral, and up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) could resume at a later stage. On the downside, though, sustained trading below 55 week EMA (now at 1.6459) would revive medium term bearishness for 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733.

In the longer term picture rise from 1.1602 (2012 low) could have already completed with three waves up to 1.9799. The development suggests that long term range trading is extending with another medium term down leg. Sustained trading below 55 month EMA (now at 1.5823) will further affirm this case and target 1.1602/3624 support zone.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s rebound from 1.4318 accelerated higher last week. The development suggests that it’s now already corrective whole fall from 1.6223. Initial bias is mildly on the upside this week for 38.2% retracement of 1.6223 to 1.4318 at 1.5046. On the downside, below 1.4687 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.4318 instead.

In the bigger picture, fall from 1.9799 is seen as a long term impulsive move. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.9799 to 1.5250 from 1.6434 at 1.3623, which is close to 1.3624 long term support (2017 low). Some support could be seen there to bring interim rebound. But overall, break of 1.5354 support turned resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the longer term picture, fall from 1.9799 (2020 high) is seen as the third leg of the pattern from 2.1127 (2008 high). Deeper fall should be seen to 1.3624 support. Decisive break there would pave the way back to 1.1602 (2012 low).

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD edged higher to 1.6448 last week but turned into consolidation since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week and outlook is unchanged. In case of another fall as consolidation extends, downside should be contained above 1.6052 support to bring rise resumption. On the upside, break of 1.6448 will resume the rally from 1.5683 and target 100% projection of 1.5683 to 1.6262 from 1.6052 at 1.6631 next.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5346 support holds, outlook will still remain bullish. Up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low) is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 1.6765 will target 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488 next. However, firm break of 1.5346 key support will indicate trend reversal and turn outlook bearish.

In the longer term picture, the rise from 1.1602 long term bottom (2012 low) is still in progress for 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 to 1.1602 at 1.7488. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.5346 remains intact.

On the upside, break of 1.6368 will extend the rise from 1.5905 to 1.6680/6786 resistance zone next. On the downside, however, break of 1.6074 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 1.5894 key support instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5894 support holds, outlook remains bullish. Firm break of 1.6786 will resume up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Next upside target is 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 (2008 high) to 1.1602 at 1.7488. However, sustained break of 1.5894 will have 55 week EMA (now at 1.6038) firmly taken out too. That should indicate medium term topping and target 1.5346 key support next.

Strong support should be seen there to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.6650 resistance holds.

Outlook in EUR/AUD remains unchanged and intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Price actions from 1.5250 are seen as a consolidation pattern. Upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 1.6827 to 1.5250 at 1.5852 to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 1.5723 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 1.5428 support first. Nevertheless, on the upside, sustained break of 1.5852 will bring further rally back to 1.6033 support turned resistance.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.9799 are developing into a deep correction, to long term up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5291; (P) 1.5350; (R1) 1.5418; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays neutral for the moment with focus back on 1.5529 resistance. Break there will indicate short term bottoming, on bullish convergence condition in 4 hour MACD. In that case, stronger rebound could be seen to 55 day EMA (now at 1.5676) before staging another fall. On the downside, below 1.5271 will target 1.5153 key support. But we’ll be cautious on strong support from there to bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, rally from 1.3624 (2017 low) should have completed at 1.6189 already, ahead of 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high). 1.6189 is seen as a medium term top. Deeper fall would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.6189 at 1.5209 first. Decisive break there will pave the way to 61.8% retracement at 1.4604. In that case, we’ll look for bottoming again below 1.4604. On the upside, firm break of 1.5773 support turned resistance is needed to indicate completion of the fall from 1.6189. Otherwise, further decline is expected in medium term, even in case of strong rebound.

In the bigger picture, as long as 1.5894 support holds, outlook remains bullish. Firm break of 1.6786 will resume up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays on the upside for the moment. Current rally from 1.4281 should target 61.8% projection of 1.4281 to 1.5976 from 1.5254 at 1.6302 next. On the downside, below 1.6027 minor support will turn bias neutral and bring consolidations again first.

In the bigger picture, the strong support from 55 week EMA (now at 1.5396) is raising the chance of bullish trend reversal. Focus is now on 1.6434 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.4281 at 1.6389). Sustained break there should confirm that whole down trend from 1.9799 (2020 high) has completed. In the longer term picture rise from 1.1602 (2012 low) could have already completed with three waves up to 1.9799. Sustained trading below 55 month EMA (now at 1.5792) will further affirm this case and target 1.1602/3624 support zone.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5770; (P) 1.5884; (R1) 1.5945; More….

EUR/AUD drops further to as low as 1.5742 so far today and intraday bias remains on the downside for 1.5601 support. Break there will pave the way to 1.5271/5313 cluster support zone next. On the upside, above 1.5890 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that up trend from 1.3624 (2017 low) is possibly completed at 1.6357, ahead of 1.6587 (2015 high). Deeper decline is now in favor to 1.5271 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.6357 at 1.5313). Break will target 61.8% retracement at 1.4668. On the upside, break of 1.6357 is needed to confirm up trend resumption. Otherwise, risk will now stay on the downside even in case of strong rebound.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD edged lower to 1.6267 last week but recovered since then. Initial bias remains neutral this week for more consolidations. But outlook will stay bearish as long as 1.6515 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 1.6267 will resume the whole decline from 1.7062 to 100% projection of 1.7062 to 1.6319 from 1.6844 at 1.6106 next. However, break of 1.6515 resistance will turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.7062 at 1.6000. Strong support could be seen there to bring rebound on first attempt. But risk will stay on the downside as long as 1.6844 resistance holds. Sustained break of 1.6000 would bring further fall to 61.8% retracement at 1.5343.

In the longer term picture, fall from 1.9799 (2020 high) is seen as a long term decline at the same scale as the rise from 1.1602 (2012 low). Rebound from 1.4281 is seen as the second leg. As long as 55 M EMA (now at 1.5846) holds, this second leg could still extend higher. However, sustained trading below 55 M EMA will open up the bearish case for extending the decline through 1.4281 low.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5800; (P) 1.5850; (R1) 1.5924; More….

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for consolidation above 1.5773 temporary low. Upside of recovery should be limited below 1.6055 minor resistance to bring another fall. Break of 1.5773 will target 1.5621 support first. Decisive break there will be another indication of medium term trend reversal. However, break of 1.6059 will turn focus back to 1.6189 high instead.

In the bigger picture, the case for medium term reversal is building up in EUR/AUD. Bearish divergence condition in daily MACD indicates further loss of upside momentum ahead of 1.6587 key resistance (2015 high). Break of 1.5621 should confirm medium term topping and bring deeper fall back to 1.5153 and possibly below. Meanwhile, even in case of up trend resumption, we’d be cautious on strong resistance from 1.6587 to limit upside and bring reversal.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.6448; (P) 1.6587; (R1) 1.6671; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains on the downside at this point. Corrective rebound from 1.6319 could have completed at 1.6843 already. Deeper fall would be seen to retest 1.6319 support. On the upside, above 1.6588 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, the strong support from medium term rising trend line indicates that rise from 1.4281 (2022 low) is still in progress. Sustained break of 1.7062 will pave the way to 61.8% retracement of 1.9799 (2020 high) to 1.4281 at 1.7691. In any case, outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.6319 support holds. However, decisive break of 1.6319 will confirm medium term topping at 1.7062, and bring deeper fall to 1.5846 support.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

Outlook in EUR/AUD remains unchanged as consolidation from 1.6294 extended last week. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. In case of deeper pull back, downside should be contained above 1.5962 support to bring rebound. On the upside, break of 1.6314 will re-affirm medium term bullishness and target 1.6432 next.

However, sustained break of 1.5894 will have 55 week EMA (now at 1.6082) firmly taken out too. That should indicate medium term topping and target 1.5346 key support next.

In the longer term picture, the rise from 1.1602 long term bottom (2012 low) is still in progress for 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 to 1.1602 at 1.7488. This will remain the favored case as long as 1.5894 remains intact. However, firm break of 1.5894 will be an early sign of major topping and turn focus to 1.5346 key support for confirmation.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD’s decline from 1.6357 extended last week after brief interim consolidation. Further decline is expected this week with 1.5853 resistance intact, for 1.5601 support next. Decisive break there will target 1.5271/5313 cluster support zone next. On the upside, break of 1.5853 minor resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, current development argues that up trend from 1.3624 (2017 low) is possibly completed at 1.6357, ahead of 1.6587 (2015 high). This is supported by bearish divergence condition in weekly MACD.

In the longer term picture, the rise from 1.1602 long term bottom (2012 low) isn’t over yet. We’ll keep monitoring the development but there is prospect of extending the rise to 61.8% retracement of 2.1127 to 1.1602 at 1.7488 and above. However, sustained trading below 1.3624 key support should indicate long term reversal and target 1.1602 long term bottom again.

In the bigger picture, the rise from 1.4281 (2022 low) is in progress. Next target is 100% projection of 1.5254 to 1.6785 from 1.5846 at 1.7377. For now, outlook will stay bullish as long as 1.5846 support holds, even in case of deep pull back.
