EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5884; (P) 1.5994; (R1) 1.6049; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD stays on the downside at this point. Fall from 1.6785 is in progress for 100% projection of 1.6785 to 1.6134 from 1.6513 at 1.5862. Strong support could be seen around there to bring rebound, at least on first attempt. On the upside, firm break of 1.6134 support turned resistance should confirm short term bottoming and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, a medium term is possibly in place at 1.6785 already, on bearish divergence condition in D MACD. Fall from there is seen as corrective whole up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low). Deeper decline is expected as long as 1.6513 resistance holds, to 38.2% retracement of 1.4281 to 1.6785 at 1.5828. Strong support could be seen there to complete the first leg of the corrective pattern.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD recovered after dipping to 1.5254 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. While corrective pattern from 1.5704 might extend, downside should be contained by 55 day EMA (now at 1.5274) to bring rebound. On the upside, decisive break of 1.5704 will resume larger rise from 1.4281. However, sustained trading below 55 day EMA will bring deeper correction towards 1.4965 resistance turned support.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom should be in place at 1.4281, on bullish convergence condition in daily MACD. Further rise would be seen back to 1.6434 key resistance next. Break of 1.4965 resistance turned support is needed to indicate reversal. Otherwise, further rally will remain in favor.

In the longer term picture, breach of 55 month EMA (now at 1.5600) raises the chance of medium term bullish reversal. Focus is back on 1.6434 cluster resistance, 38.2% retracement of 1.9799 (2020 high) to 1.4281 at 1.6389). Sustained break there will confirm and target 61.8% retracement at 1.7691.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral and outlook stays bullish with 1.6474 support intact. On the upside, above 1.6798 minor resistance will bring retest of 1.7180 resistance first. Firm break there will resume larger up trend to 1.7715 fibonacci projection level next. However, firm break of 1.6474 will dampen the bullish view and bring deeper pullback towards 1.5996 support.

In the bigger picture, corrective fall from 1.7062 medium term top should have completed at 1.5996. Larger up trend from 1.4281 (2022 low) is resuming. Next target is 61.8% projection of 1.4281 to 1.7062 from 1.5996 at 1.7715. This will now remain the favored case as long as 1.6474 support holds.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.4148; (P) 1.4185; (R1) 1.4227; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral for the moment. Near term outlook stays bearish as the corrective decline from 1.6587 is still in progress. Below 1.4025 will target 1.3671 key support level. We’d expect downside to be contained there to bring reversal. Meanwhile, above 1.4251 minor resistance will turn focus back to 1.4271 resistance.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.6587 medium term top are viewed as a consolidative pattern. 50% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.6587 at 1.4095 was already met. While further fall cannot be ruled out, we’d expect strong support above 1.3671 to contain downside and bring rebound. Up trend from 1.1602 should not be finished and will resume later. Break of 1.4721 resistance will be the first sign of resumption of up trend from 1.1602 and target retesting of 1.6587 high first.

EUR/AUD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 1.5889; (P) 1.5946; (R1) 1.6020; More

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains neutral as range trading continues inside 1.5826/6200. Outlook stays bullish with 1.5826 resistance turned support intact. On the upside, break of 1.6200 will resume the larger rise from 1.4281 to 61.8% projection of 1.4281 to 1.5976 from 1.5254 at 1.6302 next. However, firm break of 1.5826 will confirm short term topping, and bring deeper fall to 55 day EMA (now at 1.5706).

In the bigger picture, the strong support from 55 week EMA (now at 1.5404) is raising the chance of bullish trend reversal. Focus is now on 1.6434 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 1.9799 to 1.4281 at 1.6389). Sustained break there should confirm that whole down trend from 1.9799 (2020 high) has completed. Further rally should then be seen to 61.8% retracement at 1.7691. However, rejection by this cluster resistance will make medium term outlook neutral at best.

EUR/AUD Weekly Outlook

EUR/AUD stayed in consolidation from 1.5591 last week and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. As long as 1.5830 resistance holds, outlook stays bearish and further fall is expected. Break of 1.5591 will resume larger down trend for 161.8% projection of 1.6827 to 1.6144 from 1.6420 at 1.5315 next. However, break of 1.5830 will bring stronger rebound to falling channel resistance (now at 1.5970).

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that price actions from 1.9799 is developing into a deep correction, to long term up trend from 1.1602 (2012 low). Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1602 to 1.9799 at 1.4733. Medium term outlook will remain bearish as long as 1.6827 resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

In the longer term picture rise from 1.1602 (2012 low) could have already completed with three waves up to 1.9799. The development suggests that long term range trading is extending with another medium term down leg. Sustained trading below 55 month EMA (now at 1.5847) now further affirms this case could bring deeper decline to 1.1602/3624 support zone.

No change in EUR/AUD’s outlook even though upside momentum is very unconvincing. As long as 1.5606 support holds, further rally is expected. Sustained break of 1.5770 resistance will confirm resumption of medium term rise from 1.3264. In that case, EUR/AUD should target 1.6587 key long term resistance. However, below 1.5606 minor support minor support will dampen this bullish case and turn bias to the downside.

In the bigger picture, medium term rise from 1.3624 is not completed yet. Break of 1.5770 will extend the rise to retest 1.6587 (2015 high). However, considering bearish divergence condition in daily MACD, sustained break of 1.4949 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.5770 at 1.4950) will indicate medium term reversal. And there is prospect of retesting 1.3624 low in that bearish case.

Intraday bias in EUR/AUD remains on the downside for 1.5626 support. Break of 1.5626 will extend the decline from 1.5976 to 61.8% retracement of 1.5153 to 1.5976 at 1.5467 and below. On the upside above 1.5787 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. But risk will for now stay on the downside as long as 1.5976 resistance holds.

In that case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 1.5770 first. However, break of 1.5153 will resume the fall from 1.5770 to 1.4949 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 1.3624 to 1.5770 at 1.4950).

In the bigger picture, price actions from 1.5770 so far suggests that it’s corrective in nature. That is, medium term rise from 1.3624 is not completed yet.
