Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains mildly on the upside for retesting 0.8065. The pull back from there should have completed at 0.7807 already. Firm break of 0.8065 will resume the medium term rise and target 100% projection of 0.6826 to 0.7833 from 0.7328 at 0.8335. In case of another fall, we’d continue to expect strong support from 0.7785 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.7328 to 0.8065 at 0.7783) to contain downside and bring rebound.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.6826 medium term bottom is still in progress. At this point, there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet and we’ll continue to treat such rebound as a corrective pattern. But in any case, break of 55 month EMA (now at 0.8097) will target 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 to 0.6826 at 0.8451. Break of 0.7328 support is needed to confirm completion of the rebound. Otherwise, further rise is now in favor.

AUD/USD recovers today but it’s staying below 0.7566 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. With 0.7456 minor support intact, further rise is in favor. Above 0.7566 will target 0.7748 resistance. In that case, we’ll be cautious on topping again as it approaches medium term fibonacci level at 0.7849. On the downside, below 0.7456 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 0.7328 short term bottom.

In the bigger picture, we’re still treating price actions from 0.6826 low as a corrective pattern. And, as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9504 to 0.6826 at 0.7849 holds, long term down trend from 1.1079 is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 0.6826 low will target 0.6008 key support level. However, firm break of 0.7849 will indicate that rise from 0.6826 is developing into a medium term rebound, rather than a sideway pattern. In such case, stronger rise should be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 0.8091) and above.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s rally accelerated to as high as 0.7571 last week and there is no clear sign of topping yet. Initial bias remains on the upside this week for 0.7635 key long term fibonacci level. Decisive break there will carry larger bullish implication. Next target is 61.8% projection of 0.5506 to 0.7413 from 0.6991 at 0.8170. On the downside, break of 0.7485 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations first.

In the bigger picture, the sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 0.6994) is a sign of medium term bullishness. Nevertheless, AUD/USD will still need to overcome 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 (2011 high) to 0.5506 (2020 low) at 0.7635 decisively to indicate completion of long term down trend from 1.1079. In that case, next medium term target would be 61.8% retracement at 0.8950. Rejection by 0.7635 will retain long term bearishness instead.

In the longer term picture, bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD is a condition for long term bullish reversal. Focus will be on 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 (2011 high) to 0.5506 (2020 low) at 0.7635. Decisive break there should confirm reversal and target 61.8% retracement at 0.8950. Though, rejection by 0.7635 will retain long term bearishness for another low through 0.5506 at a later stage.

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains on the upside for retesting 0.7819 resistance. Firm break there will resume larger up trend from 0.5506. Next near term target is 61.8% projection of 0.6991 to 0.7819 from 0.7563 at 0.8075. On the downside, break of 0.7650 minor support will delay the bullish case and extend the correction from 0.7819.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.1079 (2001 high) should have completed at 0.5506 (2020 low) already. Rise from 0.5506 could either be the start of a long term up trend, or a corrective rise. Reactions to 0.8135 key resistance will reveal which case it is. But in any case, medium term rally is expected to continue as long as 0.7413 resistance turned support holds.

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains neutral at this point. Consolidation form 0.6769 could extend further. But upside should be limited by 0.6841 minor resistance to bring another decline. On the downside, break of 0.6769 will resume the fall to retest 0.6670 low. However, break of 0.6841 will turn bias back to the upside for 0.6929 resistance.

In the bigger picture, with 0.7082 resistance intact, there is no clear confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, down trend from 0.8135 (2018 high) is still expect to continue to 0.6008 (2008 low). However, decisive break of 0.7082 will confirm medium term bottoming and bring stronger rally back to 55 month EMA (now at 0.7529).

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

AUD/USD is trying to draw support from 4 hour 55 EMA for the moment but recovery is weak. Intraday bias stays on the downside first. As noted before, rebound from 0.7490 should have completed. Deeper fall would be seen back to 0.7490 support. Break there will confirm completion of whole rise from 0.7158. On the upside, above 0.7748 will resume the rise from 0.7158. But in that case, we’d expect upside to be limited by 0.7849/50 cluster resistance to bring reversal. That level represents 61.8% projection of 0.7158 to 0.7740 from 0.7490 at 0.7850 and key long term retracement level at 0.7849.

In the bigger picture, we’re still treating price actions from 0.6826 low as a correction. In such case, stronger rise should be seek to 55 month EMA (now at 0.8169) and above.

AUD/USD Weekly Report

AUD/USD rebounded strongly after initial dip to 0.6457 last week. Initial bias is now mildly on the upside this week for 55 D EMA (now at 0.6659). Sustained break there will target 0.6817 resistance next. Nevertheless, rejection by 55 D EMA will keep near term outlook bearish. Firm break of 0.6457 will resume the fall from 0.7156.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 55 W EMA (now at 0.6811) keeps medium term outlook bearish. Current development suggests that down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high) is possibly still in progress. Retest of 0.6169 (2022 low) should be seen next. Firm break there will confirm down trend resumption. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.6817 resistance holds.

In the long term picture, initial rejection by 55 M EMA (now at 0.7119) retains long term bearishness. That is, down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high) could still resume through 0.5506 (2020 low) on resumption.

AUD/USD Mid-Day Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6877; (P) 0.6902; (R1) 0.6930; More…

AUD/USD’s rally resumed after brief consolidation and intraday bias back on the upside. Current rally from 0.6169 is in progress to 61.8% projection of 0.6169 to 0.6892 from 0.6721 at 0.7444. On the downside, break of 0.6875 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations again. But overall outlook will stay bullish as long as 0.6721 support holds, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, corrective decline from 0.8006 (2021 high) should have completed with three waves down to 0.6169 (2022 low). Further rally should be seen to 61.8% retracement of 0.8006 to 0.6169 at 0.7304. Sustained break there will pave the way to retest 0.8006. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.6721 support holds.

AUD/USD’s rebound from 0.6670 resumed by taking out 0.6180 and hits as high as 0.6833 so far. Intraday bias is back on the upside for further rally. But still, such rebound is seen as a corrective move. Hence, upside should be limited by 0.6894 resistance to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 0.6723 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 0.6670 low.

In the bigger picture, decline from 0.8135 (2018 high) is seen as resuming the long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Next target is 0.6008 (2008 low). On the upside, break of 0.7082 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish even in case of strong rebound.

AUD/USD Mid-Day Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6925; (P) 0.6942; (R1) 0.6958; More…

AUD/USD’s decline from 0.7031 accelerates to as low as 0.6863 so far. Current development argues that corrective rise from 0.6670 has completed with three waves up to 0.7031. Intraday bias stays on the downside at this point. Break of 0.6838 will affirm this bearish case and target 0.6754 structural support for confirmation. On the upside, above 0.6930 minor resistance will dampen this case and turn bias to the upside for retesting 0.7031 resistance.

In the bigger picture, with 0.7082 resistance intact, there is no clear confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, down trend from 0.8135 (2018 high) is still expect to continue to 0.6008 (2008 low). However, decisive break of 0.7082 will confirm medium term bottoming and bring stronger rally back to 55 month EMA (now at 0.7506).

AUD/USD Daily Report

AUD/USD rises to as high as 0.7503 so far today and intraday bias remains on the upside. Break of 0.7477 resistance indicates resumption of the rebound form 0.7105. Current development also suggest that larger decline from 0.8006 has completed. Next target is 100% projection of 0.7105 to 0.7477 from 0.7169 at 0.7541, and then 161.8% projection at 0.7771. On the downside, break of 0.7377 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, with 0.6991 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.7051) intact, we’re seeing price action from 0.8006 as a correction only. That is, up trend from 0.5506 low would resume after the correction completes. In that case, main focus will be 0.8135 key resistance (2018 high). Sustained break there will carry larger bullish implications. However, sustained break of 0.6991 will argue that the whole medium term trend has indeed reversed.

AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7717; (P) 0.7747; (R1) 0.7787; More…

Intraday bias in AUD/USD stays neutral and outlook is unchanged. On the upside, break of 0.7837 will suggest that the correction from 0.8006 has completed. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting this high. On the downside, below 0.7620 will target 0.7563 support. Firm break of 0.7563 will indicate that deeper correction is underway, back towards 0.7413 resistance turned support.

Intraday bias in AUD/USD is turned neutral with current retreat. Some consolidations would be seen below 0.6713 temporary top first. But further rally is expected as long as 0.6578 support holds. As noted before, fall from 0.6870 has probably completed with three waves down to 0.6361 already. Above 0.6713 will target 0.6870 resistance next.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.6169 (2022 low) are seen as a medium term corrective pattern to the down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high). Fall from 0.7156 (2023 high) is seen as the second leg, which could have completed at 0.6269 already. Rise from there is seen as the third leg which is now trying to resume through 0.6870 resistance.

AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7395; (P) 0.7415; (R1) 0.7431; More…

Upside momentum in AUD/USD is bit unconvincing as seen in 4 hour MACD. But further rally is expected as long as 0.7372 minor support holds. Current rise from 0.5506 target 0.7635 key long term fibonacci level. On the downside, however, break of 0.7351 will indicate short term topping and turn bias back to the downside for pull back.

In the bigger picture, the sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 0.6978) is a sign of medium term bullishness. Nevertheless, AUD/USD will still need to overcome 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 (2011 high) to 0.5506 (2020 low) at 0.7635 decisively to indicate completion of long term down trend from 1.1079. Otherwise, current rebound from 0.5506 could still turn out to be a correction in the long term down trend.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD weakened last week and took out 0.7472 support. The development revived that case that rise from 0.71580 has completed at 0.7748. Therefore, deeper fall is now expected back to 0.7144/7158 support zone.

AUD/USD 4 Hours Chart

Initial bias in AUD/USD is neutral this week for consolidation above 0.7439 temporary low. But outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.7609 resistance holds. Below 0.7439 will target 0.7144/7158 support zone. At this point, there is no clear sign of larger down trend resumption yet. Hence we’ll be cautious on strong support from0.7144/58 to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, break of 0.7609 will argue that the fall from 0.7748 has completed. In such case, bias will be turned back to the upside for 0.7748 resistance.

AUD/USD Daily Chart

In the bigger picture, we’re still treating price actions from 0.6826 low as a correction pattern. In such case, stronger rise should be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 0.8144) and above.

AUD/USD Weekly Chart

In the longer term picture, while the down trend from 1.1079 might extend lower, we’re not anticipating a break of 0.6008 (2008 low) yet. We’ll look for bottoming above there to reverse the medium term trend.

A short term top is formed at 0.6892 in AUD/USD with current decline. Intraday bias back on the downside for 38.2% retracement of 0.6169 to 0.6892 at 0.6616. Sustained break there will suggest rejection by 0.66871 fibonacci level. Deeper fall should then be seen to 61.8% retracement at 0.6445. For now, risk will stay mildly on the downside as long as 0.6892 resistance holds, in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, it’s still unsure if price actions from 0.6169 medium term bottom are developing into a corrective pattern or trend rejection. Rejection by 38.2% retracement of 0.8006 to 0.6169 at 0.6871 will maintain medium term bearishness for another fall through 0.6169 at a later stage. However, firm break of 0.6871, and sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 0.6912) will raise the chance of the start of a bullish up trend.

Further rally is in favor in AUD/USD as long as 0.6689 support holds. Rise from 0.6269 would target 0.6894 resistance first. Sustained break there will target 0.7156 next. Nevertheless, break of 0.6689 will indicate short term topping, and turn bias back to the downside for deeper pull back

In the bigger picture, there is no confirmation that down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high) has completed. Price actions from 0.6169 (2022 low) could be just a medium term corrective pattern. Rise from 0.6269 is seen as the third leg of the pattern. For now, range trading should be seen between 0.6169 and 0.7156 (2023 high), until further developments.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7019; (P) 0.7046; (R1) 0.7079; More…

AUD/USD dips to as low as 0.7001 so far but cannot sustain below 0.7020 key support yet. For now, deeper fall is expected as long as 0.7071 minor resistance holds. Sustained break of 0.7020 will resume larger decline from 0.8135 for 0.6826 key support. However, rebound from current level and break of 0.7071 will suggest short term bottoming. Intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.7180).

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.7020 are corrective in nature. In case such corrective pattern extends, upside should be limited by 38.2% retracement of 0.8135 to 0.7020 at 0.7446 to bring down trend resumption. Firm break of 0.7020 will extend medium term decline from 0.8135 to retest 0.6826 (2016 low).

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7360; (P) 0.7386; (R1) 0.7424; More…

Intraday bias in AUD/USD stays neutral as sideway consolidation from 0.7309 is extending. On the downside, break of 0.7309 and sustained trading below 0.7328 cluster support (61.8% retracement of 0.6826 to 0.8135 at 0.7326) will extend the fall from 0.8135 to 0.7158 support next. On the upside, above 0.7483 resistance will bring stronger rebound. But upside should be limited below 0.7676 resistance to bring larger fall resumption eventually.

In the bigger picture, medium term rebound from 0.6826 is seen as a corrective move that should be completed at 0.8135. Deeper decline would be seen back to retest 0.6826 low. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.7676 resistance holds.

AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6613; (P) 0.6633; (R1) 0.6667; More…

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains neutral for the moment. Further rise is expected as long as 0.6521 resistance turned support holds. On the upside, break of 0.6796 will resume the rise from 0.6169 to 0.6871 fibonacci level. However, sustained break of 0.6521 will argue that whole rebound from 0.6169 is over, and bring deeper fall to retest this low.

In the bigger picture, a medium term bottom is in place at 0.6160 already. But it’s too early to call for trend reversal. Nevertheless, even as a corrective move, rise from 0.6169 should target 38.2% retracement of 0.8006 to 0.6169 at 0.6871. Sustained trading above 55 week EMA (now at 0.6923) will raise the chance of the start of a bullish up trend. This week now remain the favored case as long as 0.6521 resistance turned support holds.
