AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6945; (P) 0.6966; (R1) 0.7003; More…

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains neutral for the moment. Price actions from 0.7064 are seen as a corrective pattern. One more falling is expected before the pattern completes. On the downside, below 0.6922 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 0.6776 support. Break there will target 38.2% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.7064 at 0.6469. Nevertheless, sustained break of 0.7064 will resume whole rise from 0.5506 instead.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.5506 medium term bottom could be correcting whole long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Further rally would be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 0.7310). This will remain the preferred case as long as it stays above 55 week EMA (now at 0.6734). Sustained trading below 55 week EMA will turn focus back to 0.5506 low instead.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6751; (P) 0.6777; (R1) 0.6802; More…

Intraday bias in AUD/USD is turned neutral with 4 hour MACD crossed below signal line. Outlook is unchanged that price actions from 0.6670 are seen as a corrective move. Above 0.6810 will bring another rise but should be limited by 0.6894 resistance to bring down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 0.6710 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for retesting 0.6670 low.

In the bigger picture, decline from 0.8135 (2018 high) is seen as resuming the long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Next target is 0.6008 (2008 low). On the upside, break of 0.7082 resistance is needed to be the first sign of medium term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish even in case of strong rebound.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s rebound from 0.6722 resumed last week by taking out 0.7235 resistance to as high as 0.7295. As a temporary top is formed there, initial bias is neutral this week first. On the upside, above 0.7295 will target 0.7393 cluster resistance (61.8% projection of 0.6722 to 0.7235 from 0.7076 at 0.7393). We’d expect strong resistance from there to limit upside to complete the rebound from 0.6722. On the downside, break of 0.7180 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 0.7076 support. However, sustained break of 0.7393 will indicate bullish reversal and target 100% projection at 0.7589 next).

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.7393 resistance holds, we’d treat fall from 0.8135 as resuming long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Decisive break of 0.6826 (2016 low) will confirm this bearish view and resume the down trend to 0.6008 (2008 low). However, firm break of 0.7393 will argue that fall from 0.8135 has completed. And corrective pattern from 0.6826 has started the third leg, targeting 0.8135 again.

In the longer term picture, prior rejection by 55 month EMA maintained long term bearishness in AUD/USD. That is, down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high) is still in progress. Sustained break of 0.6826 will target 0.6008 low and then 61.8% projection of 1.1079 to 0.6826 from 0.8135 at 0.5507.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s fall from 0.7555 accelerated to as low as 0.7110 last week. The break of 0.7169 support affirms the case that larger fall from 0.8006 is resuming. Initial bias stays on the downside this week first. Break of 0.7105 will target 0.6991 key support next. On the upside, break of 0.7208 minor resistance will delay the bearish case and turn intraday bias neutral first.

In the bigger picture, with 0.6991 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.7051) intact, we’re seeing price action from 0.8006 as a correction only. That is, up trend from 0.5506 low would resume after the correction completes. However, sustained break of 0.6991 will argue that the whole medium term trend has probably reversed. Deeper fall would be seen to 61.8% retracement at 0.6461.

In the longer term picture, focus remains on 0.8135 structural resistance. Decisive break there will argue that rise from 0.5506 is developing into a long term up trend that reverses whole down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). In that case, further rally would be seen to 61.8% retracement of 1.1079 to 0.5506 at 0.8950 and possibly above. Rejection by 0.8135 will keep long term outlook neutral at best.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7188; (P) 0.7203; (R1) 0.7224; More…

AUD/USD is staying in tight range below 0.7258 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral and outlook is unchanged. With 0.7159 minor support intact, another rise is in favor. Current development argues that a medium term bottom might be in place at 0.7020. On the upside, above 0.7258 will target 0.7314 key resistance. Firm break of 0.7314 will confirm this bullish case and target 38.2% retracement of 0.8135 to 0.7020 at 0.7446 next. However, sustained break of 0.7159 will turn focus back to 0.7020 low instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.7314 resistance holds, fall from 0.8135 is tentatively treated as resuming long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Decisive break of 0.6826 will target 0.6008 key support next (2008 low). However, firm break of 0.7314 will suggest that whole decline from 0.8135 has completed. And, the corrective pattern from 0.6826 (2016 low) is extending with another rising leg towards 0.8135 before completion.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7847; (P) 0.7881; (R1) 0.7912; More…

AUD/USD lost momentum after failing to stay above 0.7892 resistance. Intraday bias is turned neutral first. We’re slightly favoring the case that corrective pull back from 0.8135 has completed with three waves down to 0.7712. Further rise is expected as long as 0.7772 minor support holds. Above 0.7892 again will target 0.7988 resistance. Decisive break there will bring larger rally resumption. Nonetheless, on the downside. On the downside, below 0.7772 will turn bias to the downside for 0.7712. Break there will resume whole fall from 0.8135.

In the bigger picture, medium term rebound from 0.6826 is seen as a corrective move. It might still extend higher but we’d expect strong resistance from 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 to 0.6826 at 0.8451 to limit upside to bring long term down trend resumption. On the downside, break of 0.7500 support will now be an important signal that such corrective rebound is completed.

AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6609; (P) 0.6637; (R1) 0.6678; More…

AUD/USD’s rally is still in progress and intraday bias stays on the upside. Sustained break of channel resistance (now at 0.6663) will argue that whole decline from 0.7156 has completed with three waves down to 0.6269. Further rally should then be seen to 0.6894 resistance for confirmation. On the downside, below 0.6595 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. But further rise will remain in favor as long as 0.6521 resistance turned support holds.

In the bigger picture, there is no confirmation that down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high) has completed. price actions from 0.6169 (2022 low) could be just a medium term corrective pattern, with rise from 0.6269 as the third leg. For now, range trading should be seen between 0.6169 and 0.7156 (2023 high), until further developments.

AUD/USD Weekly Report

AUD/USD’s decline last week indicates short term topping at 0.6870, on bearish divergence condition in 4H MACD. Further decline will remain mildly in favor as long as 0.6759 minor resistance holds, to 55 D EMA (now at 0.6612). Nevertheless, break of 0.6759 will turn bias back to the upside for retesting 0.6870 instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.6169 (2022 low) could be just a medium term corrective pattern to the down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high). Rise from 0.6269 is seen as the third leg of the pattern that could target 0.7156 on break of 0.6894 resistance. For now, range trading should be seen between 0.6169 and 0.7156 (2023 high), until further developments.

In the long term picture, the down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high) should have completed at 0.5506 (2020 low) already. It’s unsure yet whether price actions from 0.5506 are developing into a corrective pattern, or trend reversal. But in either case, fall from 0.8006 is seen the second leg of the pattern. Hence, in case of deeper decline, downside strong support should emerge above 0.5506 to bring reversal.

AUD/USD drops sharply today but stays above 0.7081. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the downside, break of 0.7081 support will indicate that corrective rebound from 0.6992 has completed with three waves up to 0.7277, after hitting 55 day EMA. Intraday bias will be back on the downside for retesting 0.6991/2 support zone. Firm break there will resume larger down trend from 0.8006. ON the upside, through, break of 0.7277 will turn bias to the upside to resume the rebound.

In the bigger picture, strong rebound from 0.6991 key structural support will retain medium term bullishness. That is, whole up trend from 0.5506 is still in progress. Firm break of 0.7555 resistance will target 0.8006 high and above. However, sustained break of 0.6991 will argue that the whole up trend from 0.5506 might be finished at 0.8006, after rejection by 0.8135 long term resistance. Deeper decline would then be seen back to 61.8% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.6461.

AUD/USD Daily Report

AUD/USD’s rally accelerates to as high as 0.6983 so far. There is no sign of topping yet and intraday bias stays on the upside for 0.7031 resistance. On the downside, break of 0.6847 minor support will turn intraday bias neutral first. But near term outlook will stays bullish as long as 0.6569 resistance turned support holds, in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 0.6826 (2016 low) now suggests that 0.5506 is a medium term bottom. Rebound from there is likely corrective whole long term down trend form 1.1079 (2011 high). Further rally would be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 0.7365). This will remain the preferred case as long as it stays above 55 week EMA (now at 0.6710).

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s corrective pattern from 0.8006 resumed last week by breaking through 0.7530 support. Initial bias stays on the downside this week. Deeper decline would be seen to 100% projection of 0.8006 to 0.7530 from 0.7890 at 0.7414. We’d expect strong support from there to bring rebound. On the upside, above 0.7560 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral first. However, sustained break of 0.7414 will argue it’s at least in larger scale correction, and target 161.8% projection at 0.7120 next.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.5506 medium term bottom could either be the start of a long term up trend, or a corrective rise. Reactions to 0.8135 key resistance will reveal which case it is. Rejection by 0.8135 key resistance, followed by firm break of 0.7413 resistance turned support, will favors the latter case. Deeper decline would be seen to 38.2% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.7051 first.

In the longer term picture, 0.5506 is a long term bottom, on bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD. Focus is now back on 0.8135 structural resistance. Decisive break there will raise the chance that rise from 0.5506 is an impulsive up trend. Next target should be 61.8% retracement at 0.8950 of 1.1079 to 0.5506 and above. Though, rejection by 0.8135 will keep the case of medium to long term sideway consolidation open.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains on the upside at this point. Rise from 0.6677 is targeting 0.6910 support turned resistance, and possibly above. At this point, such rebound is seen as a corrective move, thus, upside should be limited below 0.7082 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, below 0.6807 minor support will turn intraday bias back to the downside for retesting 0.6677 low.

However, sustained break of 0.6991 will argue that the whole up trend from 0.5506 might be finished at 0.8006, after rejection by 0.8135 long term resistance. AUD/USD’s decline accelerated to as low as 0.5506 so far today. There might be some support from 0.5507 long term projection level. But break of 0.6028 minor resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. On the upside, break of 0.6670 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish even in case of strong rebound.

Intraday bias in AUD/USD is turned neutral as it retreated sharply after hitting 0.7247. Further rise is still mildly in favor with 0.7050 minor support intact. Above 0.7247 will target 0.7313 resistance. Decisive break there argue that correction from 0.8006 has completed at 0.6966, after hitting 0.6991 key support. Outlook will be turned bullish for 0.7555 resistance next. On the downside, however, break of 0.7050 support will bring retest of 0.6966 low instead.

In the bigger picture, focus remains on 0.6991 key structural support. Sustained break there will argue that the whole up trend from 0.5506 might be finished at 0.8006, after rejection by 0.8135 long term resistance. Deeper decline would then be seen back to 61.8% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.6461. Meanwhile, strong rebound from 0.6991 will retain medium term bullishness. That is, whole up trend from 0.5506 is still in progress.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD gyrated lower last week and the development suggests that deeper correction is underway. Further fall is expected as long as 0.7762 minor resistance holds, to 38.2% retracement of 0.6991 to 0.7819 at 0.7503. On the upside, above 0.7762 will bring retest of 0.7819 high.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.1079 (2001 high) should have completed at 0.5506 (2020 low) already. Rise from 0.5506 could either the start of a long term up trend, or a corrective rise. Reactions to 0.8135 key resistance will reveal which case it is. But in any case, medium term rally is expected to continue as long as 0.7413 resistance turned support holds.

In the longer term picture, 0.5506 is a long term bottom, on bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD. Focus is now back on 0.8135 structure resistance. Decisive break there will rise the chance that rise from 0.5506 is an impulsive up trend. Next target should be 61.8% retracement at 0.8950 and above. Though, rejection by 0.8135 will keep the case of medium to long term sideway consolidation open.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s fall from 0.7555 continued last week and outlook is unchanged. Rebound from 0.7105 is complete with three waves up to 0.7555, and fall from 0.8006 is probably ready to resume. Initial bias is now on the downside this week for 0.7169 support first. Break will target 0.7105 and below. On the upside, break of 0.7369 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will stay mildly bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, with 0.6991 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.7051) intact, we’re seeing price action from 0.8006 as a correction only. That is, up trend from 0.5506 low would resume after the correction completes. In that case, main focus will be 0.8135 key resistance (2018 high). Sustained break there will carry larger bullish implications. However, sustained break of 0.6991 will argue that the whole medium term trend has indeed reversed.

AUD/USD recovers further today but stays inside range below 0.7413. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Further rise remains in favor with 0.7135 support intact. On the upside, break of 0.7413 will resume the rally from 0.5506 and target 0.7635 long term fibonacci level next. Nevertheless, decisive break of 0.7135 will confirm short term topping, and turn bias to the downside for deeper correction.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.5506 medium term bottom is seen as correcting whole long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Further rise should be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 (2011 high) to 0.5506 (2020 low) at 0.7635 next. On the downside, break of 0.6776 support is needed to be the first sign of completion of the rebound. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of pull back.

Despite breaching 0.7182 minor support to 0.7164, AUD/USD quickly recovered. Intraday bias remains neutral first. On the upside, decisive break of 0.7314 will indicate medium term reversal. Further rally should be seen to 38.2% retracement of 0.8135 to 0.7020 at 0.7446 next. However, break of 0.7164 will suggest that rebound from 0.7020 has completed and maintain medium term bearishness. Intraday bias would be turned back to the downside for retesting 0.7020 low.

Intraday bias in AUD/USD is turned neutral with 4 hour MACD crossed above signal line. In case of another fall, we’d continue to look for strong support from 0.6991/7051 support zone to bring rebound. On the upside break of 0.7288 support turned resistance will indicate short term bottoming, and turn bias back to the upside for stronger rebound.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.5506 medium term bottom could have completed at 0.8006, after failing 0.8135 key resistance. Correction from there could target 0.6991 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.7051). We’d look for strong support from there to bring rebound. However, sustained break of this level would argue that the whole medium term trend has indeed reversed. Deeper decline would be seen to 61.8% retracement at 0.6461.
