AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7526; (P) 0.7536; (R1) 0.7552; More…

AUD/USD recovers today but it’s staying below 0.7566 temporary top. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. With 0.7456 minor support intact, further rise is in favor. Above 0.7566 will target 0.7748 resistance. In that case, we’ll be cautious on topping again as it approaches medium term fibonacci level at 0.7849. On the downside, below 0.7456 minor support will turn bias back to the downside for 0.7328 short term bottom.

In the bigger picture, we’re still treating price actions from 0.6826 low as a corrective pattern. And, as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9504 to 0.6826 at 0.7849 holds, long term down trend from 1.1079 is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 0.6826 low will target 0.6008 key support level. However, firm break of 0.7849 will indicate that rise from 0.6826 is developing into a medium term rebound, rather than a sideway pattern. In such case, stronger rise should be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 0.8091) and above.

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6523; (P) 0.6565; (R1) 0.6587; More….

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains on the downside for the moment. Current down trend should target 100% projection of 0.6933 to 0.6662 from 0.6750 at 0.6479 next. On the upside, above 0.6607 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring consolidations again, before staging another decline.

In the bigger picture, AUD/USD’s decline from 0.8135 (2018 high) is still in progress. It’s part of the larger down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Rejection by 55 week EMA affirms medium term bearishness. Next target is 0.6008 (2008 low). Outlook will stay bearish as long as 0.7031 resistance holds, even in case of strong rebound.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

Despite dipping to 0.6910, AUD/USD recovered strongly from there. The development suggests that rise from 0.6831 is no completed yet. Initial bias is mildly on the upside for 0.7047 resistance first. Break will resume the rise from 0.6831 and target 61.8% retracement of 0.7295 to 0.6831 at 0.7118 first. Sustained break till target 0.7295 resistance next. On the downside, though, break of 0.6967 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 0.6910 support instead.

In the bigger picture, with 0.7393 key resistance intact, medium term outlook remains bearish. The decline from 0.8135 (2018 high) is seen as resuming long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Decisive break of 0.6826 (2016 low) will confirm this bearish view and resume the down trend to 0.6008 (2008 low). However, firm break of 0.7393 will argue that fall from 0.8135 has completed. And corrective pattern from 0.6826 has started the third leg, targeting 0.8135 again.

In the longer term picture, prior rejection by 55 month EMA maintained long term bearishness in AUD/USD. That is, down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high) is still in progress. Sustained break of 0.6826 will target 0.6008 low and then 61.8% projection of 1.1079 to 0.6826 from 0.8135 at 0.5507.

A temporary top is in place at 0.7302, ahead of 0.7314 key resistance. Intraday bias in AUD/USD is turned neutral first. Another rise is mildly in favor as long as 0.7182 minor support holds. Decisive break of 0.7314 will confirm medium term bottoming at 0.7020. In that case, next target will be 38.2% retracement of 0.8135 to 0.7020 at 0.7446. However, on the downside, break of 0.7182 minor support will suggest that the rebound is completed. And, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 0.7020 low.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.7314 resistance holds, fall from 0.8135 is tentatively treated as resuming long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Decisive break of 0.6826 will target 0.6008 key support next (2008 low). However, firm break of 0.7314 will suggest that whole decline from 0.8135 has completed. And, the corrective pattern from 0.6826 (2016 low) is extending with another rising leg towards 0.8135 before completion.

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains neutral as consolidation form 0.6284 could extend further. But downside breakout is expected with 0.6444 resistance intact. ON the downside, firm break of 0.6284 will resume whole fall from 0.7156. Next target is 100% projection of 0.7156 to 0.6457 from 0.6894 at 0.6195, which is close to 0.6169 medium term support.

In the bigger picture, down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high) is possibly still in progress. Decisive break of 0.6169 will target 61.8% projection of 0.8006 to 0.6169 to 0.7156 at 0.6021. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.6894, in case of strong rebound.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7061; (P) 0.7077; (R1) 0.7096; More…

AUD/USD’s recovery lost momentum after hitting 0.7091 and dropped notably. But it’s staying above 0.7003 temporary low. Intraday bias remains neutral first and more consolidation could still be seen. In case of another recovery, upside should be limited by 0.7121 resistance to bring fall resumption. On the downside, below 0.7003 will resume the fall from 0.7295 and target 61.8% retracement of 0.6722 to 0.7295 at 0.6941 and below.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.7393 resistance holds, we’d treat fall from 0.8135 as resuming long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high).

AUD/USD Weekly Report

AUD/USD turned into consolidation below 0.6645 last week. Initial bias stays neutral this week first, and more sideway trading could be seen. Further rise is in favor as long as 55 4H EMA (now at 0.6575) holds. Above 0.6645 will resume the rebound from 0.6361. On the downside, however, firm break of 55 4H EMA will bring deeper fall back to 0.6464 support instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.6169 (2022 low) are seen as a medium term corrective pattern to the down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high). Fall from 0.7156 (2023 high) is seen as the second leg, which could still be in progress. Overall, sideway trading could continue in range of 0.6169/7156 for some more time. But as long as 0.7156 holds, an eventual downside breakout would be mildly in favor.

In the long term picture, the down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high) should have completed at 0.5506 (2020 low) already. It’s unsure yet whether price actions from 0.5506 are developing into a corrective pattern, or trend reversal. But in either case, fall from 0.8006 is seen the second leg of the pattern. Hence, in case of deeper decline, strong support should emerge above 0.5506 to bring reversal.

AUD/USD is staying in tight range above 0.6693 low and intraday bias remains neutral. Deeper decline is expected as long as 0.6854 support turned resistance holds. Break of 0.6693 will resume the fall from 0.7156 to 161.8% projection of of 0.6854 to 0.7028 from 0.6854 at 0.6539. Nevertheless, firm break of 0.6854 will argue that such decline is finished, and revive near term bullishness.

In the bigger picture, focus is now on 0.6721 structural support. Sustained break there will argue that whole rise from 0.6169 (2022 low) has completed at 0.7156, after rejection by 55 month EMA (now at 0.7179). Deeper decline would then be see back to 61.8% retracement of 0.6169 to 0.7156 at 0.6546, even as a corrective fall. Nevertheless, strong rebound from current level will retain medium term bullishness for another rise through 0.7156 later.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7139; (P) 0.7158; (R1) 0.7178; More…

AUD/USD weakens mildly today but it’s staying in range of 0.7116/7235. Intraday bias remains neutral first. As long as 0.7116 minor support holds, further rally is mildly in favor. On the upside, break of 0.7235 will target 0.7393 resistance. We’d expect strong resistance from there to limit upside. On the downside, break of 0.7116 minor support will suggest completion of rebound from 0.6722. Intraday bias will then be turned back to the downside for retesting this low.

In the bigger picture, the failure to sustain below 0.6826 (2016 low) suggests that the long term down trend is not ready to resume yet. But prior rejection by 55 week EMA indicates underlying medium term bearishness in the pair. Outlook will also stay bearish as long as 0.7393 resistance holds. On the downside, sustained break of 0.6826 will target 0.6008 (2008 low).

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7850; (P) 0.7891; (R1) 0.7967; More…

AUD/USD’s strong rebound and break of 0.7918 resistance suggests that pull back fro 0.8065 has completed at 0.7807. The pair was supported by 0.7785 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.7328 to 0.8065 at 0.7783) as expected. Intraday bias is turned back to the upside for retesting 0.8065 first. Firm break there will resume the medium term rise and target 100% projection of 0.6826 to 0.7833 from 0.7328 at 0.8335.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.6826 medium term bottom is still in progress. At this point, there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet and we’ll continue to treat such rebound as a corrective pattern. But in any case, break of 55 month EMA (now at 0.8100) will target 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 to 0.6826 at 0.8451. Break of 0.7328 support is needed to confirm completion of the rebound. Otherwise, further rise is now expected.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD edged higher to 0.7731 last week but lost momentum quickly to close back into established range. Initial bias is neutral this week first. Further rise cannot be ruled out yet. But considering bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD, we’d expect strong resistance from 0.7777/7833 resistance zone to limit upside and bring near term reversal. On the downside, break of 0.7605 support will indicate that rise from 0.7158 has completed already and turn bias back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.7528) first.

In the bigger picture, we’re still treating price actions from 0.6826 low as a correction. In such case, stronger rise should be seek to 55 month EMA (now at 0.8186) and above.

In the longer term picture, while the down trend from 1.1079 might extend lower, we’re not anticipating a break of 0.6008 (2008 low) yet. We’ll look for bottoming above there to reverse the medium term trend.

AUD/USD Daily Report

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains neutral for the moment. On the downside, break of 0.6856 support should indicate short term topping. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 0.6569 resistance turned support. Nevertheless, decisive break of 0.7031 will extend the rise from 0.5506.

In the bigger picture, the firm break of 0.6826 (2016 low) now suggests that 0.5506 is a medium term bottom. Rebound from there is likely correcting whole long term down trend form 1.1079 (2011 high). Further rally would be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 0.7326). This will remain the preferred case as long as it stays above 55 week EMA (now at 0.6721).

AUD/USD’s fall from 0.7135 is in progress and intraday bias stays on the downside. As noted before, corrective rebound from 0.6680 could have completed with three waves up to 0.7135. Retest of 0.6680 should be seen next. Firm break there will resume larger down trend. However, break of 0.7008 will turn bias back to the upside for 0.7135 resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.8006 (2021 high) is seen more as a corrective pattern to rise from 0.5506 (2020 low). Or it could also be a bearish impulsive move. In either case, outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.7282 resistance holds. Next target is 61.8% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.6461.

Range trading continues in AUD/USD and intraday bias remains neutral first. Further rise remains in favor with 0.7135 support intact. On the upside, break of 0.7413 will resume the rally from 0.5506 and target 0.7635 long term fibonacci level next. Nevertheless, decisive break of 0.7135 will confirm short term topping, and turn bias to the downside for deeper correction.

In the bigger picture, rebound from 0.5506 medium term bottom is seen as correcting whole long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Further rise should be seen to 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 (2011 high) to 0.5506 (2020 low) at 0.7635 next. On the downside, break of 0.6776 support is needed to be the first sign of completion of the rebound. Otherwise, outlook will stay bullish in case of pull back.

AUD/USD Weekly Report

AUD/USD rebounded strongly after initial dip to 0.6457 last week. Initial bias is now mildly on the upside this week for 55 D EMA (now at 0.6659). Sustained break there will target 0.6817 resistance next. Nevertheless, rejection by 55 D EMA will keep near term outlook bearish. Firm break of 0.6457 will resume the fall from 0.7156.

In the bigger picture, rejection by 55 W EMA (now at 0.6811) keeps medium term outlook bearish. Current development suggests that down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high) is possibly still in progress. Retest of 0.6169 (2022 low) should be seen next. Firm break there will confirm down trend resumption. For now, this will remain the favored case as long as 0.6817 resistance holds.

In the long term picture, initial rejection by 55 M EMA (now at 0.7119) retains long term bearishness. That is, down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high) could still resume through 0.5506 (2020 low) on resumption.

AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6664; (P) 0.6679; (R1) 0.6690; More…

Intraday bias in AUD/USD is turned neutral with current recovery. On the upside, firm break of 0.6740 resistance will argue that pull back from 0.6898 has completed, and turn bias to the upside for stronger rebound. Nevertheless, break of 0.6662 will resume the fall to 61.8% retracement of 0.6457 to 0.6898 at 0.6625. Sustained break there would bring deeper decline back to 0.6457 support.

In the bigger picture, outlook is mixed up by the deeper the expected pull back from 0.6898. Still, price actions from 0.7156 are seen as a correction to rebound from 0.6169. Break of 0.6457 will resume the fall towards 0.6169 low. On the upside, though, break of 0.6898 resistance will argue that rise from 0.6169 is ready to resume through 0.7156.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s up trend resumed last week by break through 0.7819 and hit as high as 0.7876. Initial bias stays on the upside this week for 61.8% projection of 0.6991 to 0.7819 from 0.7563 at 0.8075. We’d pay attention to the reaction to 0.8135 long term resistance. On the downside, break of 0.7730 support is needed to indicate short term topping. Otherwise, outlook will remain bullish in case of retreat.

In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.1079 (2001 high) should have completed at 0.5506 (2020 low) already. Rise from 0.5506 could either be the start of a long term up trend, or a corrective rise. Reactions to 0.8135 key resistance will reveal which case it is. But in any case, medium term rally is expected to continue as long as 0.7413 resistance turned support holds.

In the longer term picture, 0.5506 is a long term bottom, on bullish convergence condition in monthly MACD. Focus is now back on 0.8135 structure resistance. Decisive break there will rise the chance that rise from 0.5506 is an impulsive up trend. Next target should be 61.8% retracement at 0.8950 and above. Though, rejection by 0.8135 will keep the case of medium to long term sideway consolidation open.

AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7691; (P) 0.7746; (R1) 0.7782; More…

AUD/USD is staying in range above 0.7687 support and intraday bias remains neutral first. Another rise is mildly in favor. Break of 0.7890 will target a test on 0.8005 high. However, firm break of 0.7687 support should extend the correction from 0.8006 with another falling leg. Intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 0.7530 support and possibly below.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD stayed in consolidation in range of 0.7309/7483 and outlook is unchanged. Initial bias remains neutral this week first. On the upside, above 0.7483 resistance will bring strong rebound. But upside should be limited below 0.7676 resistance to bring larger fall resumption. On the downside, break of 0.7309 and sustained trading below 0.7328 cluster support (61.8% retracement of 0.6826 to 0.8135 at 0.7326) will extend the fall from 0.8135 to 0.7158 support next.

In the bigger picture, medium term rebound from 0.6826 is seen as a corrective move that should be completed at 0.8135. Deeper decline would be seen back to retest 0.6826 low. This will now remain the favored case as long as 0.7676 resistance holds.

In the longer term picture, 0.6826 is seen as a long term bottom. Rise from there could either reverse the down trend from 1.1079, or just develop into a corrective pattern. At this point, we’re favoring the latter. And, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 to 0.6826 at 0.8451 holds, we’d anticipate another decline through 0.6826 at a later stage. But strong support should be seen between 0.4773 (2001 low) and 0.6008 (2008 low).

AUD/USD Daily Report

AUD/USD is staying in consolidation form 0.7288 and intraday bias remains neutral first. Outlook stays bearish as long as 0.7443 resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.7288 will resume the fall from 0.8006 to 161.8% projection of 0.8006 to 0.7530 from 0.7890 at 0.7120 next. On the upside, break of 0.7443 will bring stronger rebound to 0.7530 support turned resistance instead.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.5506 medium term bottom could have completed at 0.8006, after failing 0.8135 key resistance. Correction from there could target 0.6991 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.7051). We’d look for strong support from there to bring rebound. However, sustained break of this level would argue that the whole medium term trend has indeed reversed.
