AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6788; (P) 0.6813; (R1) 0.6836; More…

Outlook in AUD/USD is unchanged and intraday bias remains neutral. On the upside, decisive break of 0.6898 resistance will firstly confirm resumption of rise from 0.6457. Secondly, that should also confirm completion of the fall from 0.7156 at 0.6457. Next target will be 100% projection of 0.6457 to 0.6898 from 0.6594 at 0.7035, and then 0.7156 resistance.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.7156 are seen as a correction to the rebound from 0.6169 (2022 low). Break of 0.6898 resistance will argue that rise from 0.6169 is ready to resume through 0.7156. Next target will be 100% projection of 0.6169 to 0.7156 from 0.6457 at 0.7444. For now, this will be the favored case as long as 55 D EMA (now at 0.6703) holds.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s strong rebound last week indicates short term bottom at 0.7500. The pair should now engage in consolidation above 0.7500 in near term. At this point, we’d expect upside to be limited by 0.7732 cluster resistance (38.2% retracement of 0.8124 to 0.7500 at 0.77385). On the downside, below 0.7604 minor support will bring rest of 0.7500. Break will resume whole fall from 0.8124. However, sustained break of 0.7732 should invalidate our bearish view and bring stronger rise through 61.8% retracement at 0.7886.

In the bigger picture, corrective rise from 0.6826 medium term bottom is likely completed at 0.8124, after hitting 55 month EMA (now at 0.8034). Decisive break of 0.7328 key cluster support (61.8% retracement 0.6826 to 0.8124 at 0.7322) will confirm. And in that case, long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high) will likely be resuming. Break of 0.6826 will target 61.8% projection of 1.1079 to 0.6826 from 0.8124 at 0.5496. This will now be the favored case as long as 0.7732 near term resistance holds.

In the longer term picture, 0.6826 is seen as a long term bottom. Rise from there could either reverse the down trend from 1.1079, or just develop into a corrective pattern. At this point, we’re favoring the latter. And, as long as 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 to 0.6826 at 0.8451 holds, we’d anticipate another decline through 0.6826 at a later stage. But strong support should be seen between 0.4773 (2001 low) and 0.6008 (2008 low).

AUD/USD jumps notably today but stays in consolidations below 0.6713. Intraday bias remains neutral at this point. Further rally is in favor with 0.6578 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.6361 to 0.6713 at 0.6579) intact. On the upside, firm break of 0.6713 will resume whole rise from 0.6361 to 0.6870 resistance next. However, sustained break of 0.6578 will dampen this bullish view, and bring deeper fall to 61.8% retracement at 0.6495.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.6169 (2022 low) are seen as a medium term corrective pattern to the down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high). Fall from 0.7156 (2023 high) is seen as the second leg, which could have completed at 0.6269 already. Rise from there is seen as the third leg which is now trying to resume through 0.6870 resistance.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

AUD/USD is staying in consolidation above 0.7624 temporary low. Intraday bias remains neutral for the moment. Upside of recovery should be limited well below 0.7896 resistance to bring decline resumption. Firm break of 0.7624 will resume whole decline from 0.8124 and target next key cluster level at 0.7322/8.

In the bigger picture, corrective rise from 0.6826 medium term bottom is likely completed at 0.8124, after hitting 55 month EMA (now at 0.8067). This will now be the favored case as long as 0.7896 near term resistance holds.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s decline from 0.8124 resumed last week and reached as low as 0.7500. Initial bias remains on the downside this week. AUD/USD should target 0.7322/8 cluster support next. On the upside, break of 0.7652 resistance is needed to indicate short term bottoming. Otherwise, outlook will remain bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, corrective rise from 0.6826 medium term bottom is likely completed at 0.8124, after hitting 55 month EMA (now at 0.8029).

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains neutral as it’s bounded in range of 0.7052/7168. On the upside, decisive break of 0.7168 will suggest that the corrective decline from 0.7295 has completed at 0.7003 already. Intraday bias will be turned to the upside to resume the rebound from 0.6722 through 0.7295. On the downside, though, sustained break of 0.7052 will target 0.7004 first. Break will resume the fall from 0.7295 instead.

In the bigger picture, as long as 0.7393 resistance holds, fall from 0.8135 is still expected to extend. Such decline is seen as resuming long term down trend from 1.1079 (2011 high). Decisive break of 0.6826 (2016 low) will confirm this bearish view and resume the down trend to 0.6008 (2008 low). However, firm break of 0.7393 will argue that fall from 0.8135 has completed. And corrective pattern from 0.6826 has started the third leg, targeting 0.8135 again.

AUD/USD Daily Report

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.6759; (P) 0.6769; (R1) 0.6778; More…

Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains mildly on the downside as fall from 0.6929 is in progress. Deeper decline should be seen to retest 0.6670 low. On the upside, above 0.6803 minor resistance will turn intraday bias neutral and bring recovery. But recovery should be limited well below 0.6929 resistance.

In the bigger picture, with 0.7082 resistance intact, there is no clear confirmation of trend reversal yet. That is, down trend from 0.8135 (2018 high) is still expect to continue to 0.6008 (2008 low). However, decisive break of 0.7082 will confirm medium term bottoming and bring stronger rally back to 55 month EMA (now at 0.7529).

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

Daily Pivots: (S1) 0.7396; (P) 0.7431; (R1) 0.7454; More…

No change in AUD/USD’s outlook as corrective recovery from 0.7382 extends. While further rise cannot be ruled out, upside should be limited below 0.7555 resistance and bring fall resumption. Below 0.7388 minor support will turn bias to the downside for 0.7382. Break there will extend the fall from 0.7748 and target 0.7144/7158 support zone. On the upside, firm break of 0.7555 will argue that fall from 0.7748 is completed and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, we’re still treating price actions from 0.6826 low as a correction pattern. And, as long as 38.2% retracement of 0.9504 to 0.6826 at 0.7849 holds, long term down trend from 1.1079 is expected to resume sooner or later. Break of 0.6826 low will target 0.6008 key support level. However, firm break of 0.7849 will indicate that rise from 0.6826 is developing into a medium term rebound, rather than a sideway pattern. In such case, stronger rise should be seen to 55 month EMA (now at 0.8115) and above.

The correction from 0.8065 is still in progress and with 0.7948 minor resistance intact, deeper decline could be seen in AUD/USD. But we’d expect strong support from 0.7785 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.7328 to 0.8065 at 0.7783) to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, break of 0.7948 will argue that the pull back is completed. In such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the upside for retesting 0.8065.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.6826 medium term bottom is still in progress. At this point, there is no confirmation of trend reversal yet and we’ll continue to treat such rebound as a corrective pattern. But in any case, break of 55 month EMA (now at 0.8100) will target 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 to 0.6826 at 0.8451. Break of 0.7328 support is needed to confirm completion of the rebound. Otherwise, further rise is now expected.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD rose to as high as 0.8135 last week and breached 0.8124 resistance. Initial bias remains on the upside this week. Sustained break of 0.8124 will resume whole medium term rebound from 0.6826 and target key fibonacci level at 0.8451. Meanwhile, on the downside, break of 0.8003 support will indicate short term topping, likely with bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. And in such case, intraday bias will be turned back to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.7817).

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that medium term rebound from 0.6826 is still in progress and could be resuming. Such rise could target 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 (2011 high) to 0.6826 (2016 low) at 0.8451. As such rise is seen as a corrective move, we’d expect strong resistance from 0.8451 to limit upside and bring reversal.

AUD/USD Weekly Outlook

AUD/USD’s rebound from 0.7158 extended to 0.7608 last week but lost momentum since then. Bearish divergence condition is also seen in 4 hour MACD. Initial bias stays neutral this week first. Break of 0.7448 will argue that such rebound is already finished and will turn bias to the downside for 0.7144 key support level. Above 0.7608 will bring another rise but upside should be limited by 0.7777/7833 resistance zone to bring near term reversal.

In the bigger picture, AUD/USD is staying inside long term falling channel and it’s likely that the down trend from 1.1079 is still in progress. Break of 0.6826 low will confirm this bearish case. We’ll be looking for bottoming sign again as it approaches 0.6008 key support level. Meanwhile, sustained break of 0.7833 resistance will be a strong sign of medium term reversal.

In the longer term picture, while the down trend from 1.1079 might extend lower, we’re not anticipating a break of 0.6008 (2008 low) yet. We’ll look for bottoming above there to reverse the medium term trend.

AUD/USD Daily Outlook

AUD/USD recovers today as consolidation from 0.7531 extends. Overall outlook remains unchanged though. As long as 0.7729 resistance holds, near term outlook remains bearish and further decline is expected. Break of 0.7550 will resume whole decline from 0.8124 and target next key cluster level at 0.7322/8. Nonetheless, break of 0.7729 will indicate near term reversal, with bearish divergence condition in 4 hour MACD. And stronger rebound would be seen back to 0.7896 resistance and above.

In the bigger picture, corrective rise from 0.6826 medium term bottom is likely completed at 0.8124, after hitting 55 month EMA (now at 0.8033). This will now be the favored case as long as 0.7729 near term resistance holds.

Intraday bias in AUD/USD is turned neutral with current recovery. Some consolidations could be seen but outlook will remain bearish as long as 0.7443 support turned resistance holds. On the downside, break of 0.7288 will resume larger fall from 0.8006, and target 161.8% projection of 0.8006 to 0.7530 from 0.7890 at 0.7120. However, break of 0.7443 will bring stronger rebound to 0.7530 support turned resistance.

In the bigger picture, rise from 0.5506 medium term bottom could have completed at 0.8006, after failing 0.8135 key resistance. Correction from there could target 0.6991 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.5506 to 0.8006 at 0.7051). We’d look for strong support from there to bring rebound. However, sustained break of this level would argue that the whole medium term has indeed reversed.

At this point, further is expected in AUD/USD as long as 0.7874 support holds. Current rise from 0.7500 would target 0.8124 high. On the downside, break of 0.7874 will indicate short term topping and turn bias to the downside for 55 day EMA (now at 0.7756).

In the bigger picture, current development suggests that medium term rebound from 0.6826 is still in progress and could be resuming. Such rise could target 38.2% retracement of 1.1079 (2011 high) to 0.6826 (2016 low) at 0.8451. As such rise is seen as a corrective move, we’d expect strong resistance from 0.8451 to limit upside.

Intraday bias in AUD/USD stays on the downside for the moment as fall from 0.7740 extends. Whole rebound from 0.7158 should be completed. AUD/USD is now targeting lower side of the range at 0.7144/7158 support zone. On the upside, break of 0.7631 resistance is needed to indicate completion of such decline. Otherwise, outlook will stay cautiously bearish in case of recovery.

In the bigger picture, we’re still treating price actions from 0.6826 low as a correction. AUD/USD’s corrective recovery from 0.7328 is still in progress and intraday bias stays neutral. As noted before, we’d expect upside to be limited below 0.7555 resistance to bring fall resumption. Below 0.7382 will target 0.7144/7158 support zone. However, there is no clear sign of larger down trend resumption yet. Hence we’ll be cautious on strong support from 0.7144/58 to contain downside and bring rebound. On the upside, firm break of 0.7555 will argue that fall from 0.7748 is completed and turn bias back to the upside.

In the bigger picture, we’re still treating price actions from 0.6826 low as a correction pattern. Intraday bias in AUD/USD remains neutral as consolidation from 0.6524 is extending. But further decline is expected as long as 0.6639 support turned resistance holds. Firm break of 0.6524 support will argue that whole rebound from 0.6269 has completed, and bring deeper fall to this support.

In the bigger picture, price actions from 0.6169 (2022 low) are seen as a medium term corrective pattern to the down trend from 0.8006 (2021 high). Sideway trading could continue in range of 0.6169/7156 for some more time. But as long as 0.7156 holds, an eventual downside breakout would be mildly in favor.
