Speculative long positions fell -11 338 contracts while shorts rose +53 050 contracts. For refined oil products, NET LENGTH for gasoline gained +8 540 contracts to 113 188, while heating oil‘s NET SHORT added +7 679 contracts to 28 838. NET SHORT for natural gas futures declined -14 827 contracts to 246 701 contracts for the week. NET LENGTH for gold futures slumped -30 286 contracts to 299 806. Speculative long positions decreased -20 492 contracts, while shorts rose +9 794. Silver futures’ NET LENGTH gained +4 386 contracts to 67 803. Speculative long positions dropped -8 559 contracts while shorts plunged -12 945. For PGMs, NET LENGTH of Nymex platinum futures dropped -4 816 contracts to 62 780 while that for palladium decreased -884 contracts to 6 028.
